Lightning flash counter has been observed to know lightning density. It is most important to make the frequency distribution map of the lightning discharges in Japan. So that, the counter are required to investigate it's reliable in detail. Authors discussed the relation between lightning flash counter and field intensity, In the result, We could find out to have a character of the counter using ground flashes, could flashes and multiple-stroke lightning, Therefore, the observations to be cmpared the counter with field intensity are discussed in this report.

This paper proposes a distributed parallel processing system made with a comparatively small-scale LAN system (used mainly for the joint utilization of data and the interchange of information only) to make better use of the function as LAN, and describes the method for constructing it. This system recombines resources on LAN with various kinds of software and composes one computer system collectively. The characteristic of the system is that each Work Station on LAN is able to performs job processing as the Host Machine, making use of another or other Work Stations.

A description is given of outdoor calibrations of reference solar cells carried out at Kisarazu National College of Technology and a result of the comparison with indoor calibrations at Japan Machinery and Metals Inspection Institute. About three hundred sets of measurements have been performed from March 9 to may 18, 1998. Calibrated cells consist of crystalline Si, polycrystalline Si, amorphous Si, CdS-CdTe and GaAs cells. The cells placed on a plane surface tilted 37 degrees to the horizontal enabled the calibration using a pyrheliometer as it is originally defined by IEC, along with two other methods of calibration ; one utilizing a standard lamp of spectral irradiance (an application of the Japanese method of indoor calibration to outdoor calibration) and the other utilizing the same standard lamp and also an illuminometer (a modified version of the former method). The results obtained in this report are as follows : (1) each method of calibration gave quite accurate efficiencies of the cells, (2) the comparison showed a very good agreement between outdoor and indoor calibrations except CdS-CdTe and GaAs cells.

In this paper, a position control for manipulator which utilizes shape memory alloy (SMA) actuator is proposed. The actuator is made by pair of SMA wires with rivalry, and wires are heated by an electric current. The control method is used a software control system for linear quadratic optimal control with I-action (LQI control). The stability of the control method was verified by the experiment.

NES (Network Education System), of which we are making a development at Kisarazu National College of Technology, is a new educational system supporting both instruction and learning with the aid of computers, andio-visual tools and their networks. At this time, we present our report on the prototypic courseware which was made through this new system. The material is based on the result of our finding for parametric equation of rolling curve by vector calculus.

Gauge vector and auxiliary scalar bosons of four-dimensional N=2 off-shell super yang-Mills theory are represented in the form of spinors ("spinorization method") by employing the half-order differential operators in the 1-loop level. The Klein-Gordon actions of these bosonic fields are expressed in the form of the Dirac one up to surface terms and the remaining N=1 SUSY around the monopole or antimonopole becomes manifest.

SOLITONS have been observed in the GOES 2, 3, 5, and 6 magnetic field date at 6.6 Re. We take the observational analysis of those solitons. We have examined simultaneous magnetic field observations from GOES 5 and 6 for the period May 1985 to July 1986. The statistic results of the envelope solitons and their internal structures are presented.

One hundred-forty healty college students (untrained male 18 years old) were employed as the subject. (shown in Table 1.) Running time, stride length and stride frequency during 3200 meter run were measured on a track, once a week over a seven week period. The results obtained were as follows : Stride length and stride frequency of 3200 meter run were increased linearly by two to seven percent for all subjects after seven weeks of training as the running speed increased. Increase in running speed was dependent much more on increase in stride length than that of stride frequency.

The purpose of the present study is to clarify the psychological aptitude of the kosen volleyball players in view of the differences of competition results compared with those of college and high school players. The main results obtained from this study are as follows (1) There is no clear difference in the kosen volleyball players' aptitudes. (2) College and high-school players showed high positive score on serveral TSMI sub-scales. It appears that the items we got are important factors of psychological aptitude for the kosen volleyball players.
