The application of Cycloconverters is found in linear motors etc., which many great peoples have sought out. B. R. Pelly is assumed mathematical theories of Cycloconverters, but some part of experimental analysis were not clear about properties of Cycloconverters. So the author tried to be obtained the output waveforms and the frequency spectrums in Cycloconverters. In this paper, he belives we will suggest some new problems about Cycloconverters.

Upon measuring high voltage of a steep-front impulse, a voltage divider is the most important element in a measuring system. When the divider is improperly selected and connected to a circuit under test upon measuring such a steep-front wave, severe errors may be produced in measured values. Accordingly, it is necessary in view of reliability of an experimental result to investigate sufficiently a response characteristic of the divider beforehand. We have now constructed a divider with use of solid resistors, which enables an excellent response characteristic to be yielded. A fundamental relationship between a rectangular wave response required for estimating measurement errors will be described below in detail together with a description of a response characteristic of the developed solid resistive divider and its relative errors.

A questionary has been given to the students at Kisarazu National College of Technology asking how they learn and to what extent they understand mathematics. Its aim is to find some specific features concerning their attitude of learning mathematics and the degree of their understanding in various fields of mathematics. The results show that there are several types of correlation between the degree of their understanding and their school years-in some fields their understanding rapidly declines as they get promoted or vice versa. This research will be useful for mathematics teachers to improve their teaching method.

We have obtained the information through mathematical examinations of questionnaire and achievement for new students. The questionnaire consists of many questions such as students' attitude of and interests in learning mathematics, and study hours. These results are explanatory variables. The achievement test consists of several mathematical problems on caluculation and proof. These results are response variables. Many contingency tables are composed of each response variables and all explanatory variables. As the results of this study it was found that several response variables had strong dependence on a group of specific explanatory variables, by the use of the statistic AIC discovered by Dr. Akaike recently.

An image-processing equipment incorporating a laser-scanning system for image analysis is fabricated to study a fluorescence pattern from a crystal surface. The equipment is applicable to detect faint latent fingerprints which could not be detected by any previous methods. The faint latent fingerprints can be developed by staining with fluorescent dye and irradiating with laser.

Catalytic hydrogenation of 2,6-dimethyl-3-heptyne-2,6-diol under ordinary pressure and temperature resulted hydrogenolysis products, the amount of which was about half mole of used diol. By means of IR, NMR and others, the hydrogenolysis product was identified with 2,6-dimethyl-2-heptanol which synthesized from methylheptanone. It was infered from the NMR spectrogram of the hydrogenolysis product of 2,6-dimethyl-3-heptyne-2,6-diol-d6 that elimination of OH group takes place in similar ratio on the OH group of 2 and 6 position.

The present study was designed to investigate the heart rate responses during Kisarazu Kosen Taiso consisted of 13 units of different movement. Three trained students (18-20yrs) performed Kisarazu Kosen Taiso in each movement of one minute duration in two different ways, i.e. a "normal" exercise in their preferred manner and a "strenuously" one as powerful as possible. Heart rate were recorded continuously all through the experiment by using telemetering method, and digital print were recorded. The results oftained were as followed; The mean heart rate of each subject during the "normal" one ranged from 109 to 139 bpm, while during the "strenuously" one from 109 to 145 bpm, (mean % increment of three subjects; 4%) and during practice all through were 96-154 in "normal", 104-166 in "strenuously." During the upper extremities movements (order 7 and 8) the heart rate in all duration was considerably lower when compared with that recorded during the other kinds of exercises.
