Recently, the tendency depending on foreign operations has been increasing from the viewpoint of cost control in many industrial fields. In such circumstances, the expectation to creative education is becoming more and more for engineering education in addition to a conventional practical education in college of technology. In this paper, a new electric engineering experiment for the fifth-year students has performed to develop their creative faculties as one of the synthetic experiments. The design and manufacture of an electronic circuit using peripheral interface controller PIC has carried out through a original theme set by students in the field of instrumentation and control in this experiment. This experiment consists of seven parts; (1) fundamental design (2) circuit design (3) manufacture of hardware (4) programming (5) experiments (6) report writing (7) presentation. One manufacturing group consists of four to five students. These parts have progressed in cooperation with other students in the same group related micro computer control(II) which is one of the lectured subjects. As a result of the questionnaire to the students on this experiment, we got some conclusions as follows; 1. Most of students have been satisfied with their products containing an electronic circuit and the PIC one-chip microcomputer. 2. Most students have been interested in the advanced learning of the manufacture of electrical and electronics circuits. 3. Furthermore, the efforts to show creativity in each article were seen.

In the electric circuit simulation the Spice is mainly used, and in the power-electronics circuit simulation it is not exception. In the power-electronics circuit simulation, the details of the nonlinear device models is important. Although, the reactance model which is one of the nonlinear devices is not enough to use with power-electronics circuit simulation. Therefore we proposed a reactance model equation which is based on the differential permeability. In this paper, the model equation of the differential permeability is described with a exponential function, and we confirmed experimentally that it equation approximate to B-H curve of a Mn-Zn ferrite core.

Global environment problems attract attention on a world-wide scale today. In it, the source of clean energy (e.g. Solar battery, Wind power generation, and more) is required. In this research, the buck converter linked with ZVS buck-boost converter is proposed. And the part of ZVS buck-boost converter is connected to two power sources (one is a solar battery and the other is wind power generation ) . These two power sources can transmit electric power mutually, from one source to other source. Therefore the transmitting power between two sources is confirmed by computer simulation.

The bipolar field change pulses produced by intra-cloud lightning discharge processes have been recorded with our observation of lightning. The wave forms are obviously different from those produced by return strokes in cloud-to-ground lightning. Pulses with a positive initial polarity tend to occur at regular interval. Negative pulses are usually produced intra-cloud lightning discharges at more random interval. In this paper, it is shown characteristics of the time components in bipolar pulses.

In recent years, river has been built in consideration of environment or the scenery. This research inserts deflector in a curved river, and changes the direction of the streamline through a curve and thereby, the influence of the flow by curve is eased. When inserting deflector in a curved river, length is 40% of river width, and if an insertion position is insertion in 63% at the back of a curve, it is effective in direction change of a streamline. Moreover, if deflector is inserted by plurality rather than the singular, a direction change of a streamline will be obtained a big effect. However, it becomes the cause that makes the streamline of a down-stream produce disorder, and has left some problems. This research experiments by changing the curvature of a curve, and reports the result examined about the validity of the deflector by change of curvature.

Most of the college students will have chance to work on the world stage in the future. They have to adjust themselves to live in the circumstance where they are surrounded by the people who have different senses in daily affairs from their owns. In daily lessons for English learning they are trained to acquire the international senses or global points of views. In order to make them have the global senses the instructors have to know how the students have had such senses so far. In this study the writer has given the students some kinds of checking tests for several times and collect the data upon which they are examined to be judged for the basement of international senses. Mainly there are two points about the research. One of them is concerning to the countries in the world with the relation of the United Nations. The other is related to their native affairs. The informants are all Japanese. They are checked how they have knowledge about the Japanese culture.

The purpose of this study was to measure a variability in blood pressure caused by the handgrip exercise which was divided into 6 stages according to the incremental intensities, and was to draw up an outline of the specific exercise test with isometric handgrip (IHG) to estimate a possibility of hypertension in future. For this study, 10 healthy men aged 23-62 years old performed the IHG as voluntary subjects. The exercise test was consisted of six degrees of intensity which were 8.3%, 16.7%, 25%, 33.3%, 42.7% and 50% of maximum voluntary contraction (MVC) with IHG, and performed in a sitting position. Each intensity of IHG was kept for 10 seconds, totally subjects carried out the exercise for exact 60 seconds. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure (SBP, DBP) in all subjects were increased dramatically at the intensity of 25% MVC and more. These results indicate that typical change of blood pressure would be caused for the sake of vasoconstriction induced by strenuous IHG. Especially, excessive increase of blood pressure was observed at the intensities from 25% to 50% MVC, therefore the exercise test with IHG performing over 25%MVC might be able to estimate a possibility of hypertension in future.

In this research, the author compared the subjective pace distribution by using 800m running on grand (SPR) with the passive pace distribution by using treadmill running (PPR) by using the intermittent speed increasing method change of the lactic acid concentration in blood at the time. And the purpose was to consider the possible calculation method of LT-2 also in the contestant of an admission level. Consequently, the speed of LT-2 in SPR was lower than PPR, and the lactic acid concentration in blood was high at that time. In order to obtain an index effective in training, when LT-2 of the contestant of an admission level were computed, it was made clear that the numerical value near a race pace with the more nearly actual PPR is acquired.

The purpose of this study was to lay the foundation for considering the differences between the vocabulary used in junior high and high school English textbooks used in Japan. We therefore set out to create four different word lists using spread sheet software and a text editor. The first word list, which was named JH_WL, consists of those words which are used in the Japanese junior high school textbooks of English. The second one, named Hi_WL, is the list of those words which appear in the Japanese high school textbook of English. In this list, the frequency of occurrence of each word was counted. And the third word list, named Target_WL, is composed of those words included in Hi_WL but not in JH_WL, that is to say the difference set between Hi_WL and JH_WL. The fourth one, which was named Int_WL, is the set intersection of Hi_WL and Target_WL. As a result of the analysis, the following results were obtained: JH_WL has 2,593 types; Hi_WL has 14,801 tokens, 1,677 types and the TTR (Type/Token Ratio) is 0.11; Target_WL has 1,740 tokens, 664 types and the TTR is 0.38; Int_WL has 13,061 tokens, 1,031 types and the TTR is 0.07.

An attempt to formulate the extensions of the KP hierarchy by introducing fractional-order pseudo-differential operators is given. In the case of the extension with the half-order pseudo-differential operators, a system analogous to the supersymmetric extensions of the KP hierarchy is obtained. Unlike the supersymmetric extensions, no Grassmannian variable appears in the hierarchy considered here. More general hierarchies constructed by the 1/Nth-order pseudo-differential operators, their integrability and the reduction procedure are also investigated. In addition to finding the new extensions of the KP hierarchy, a brief introduction to the Riemann-Liouville integral is provided to yield a candidate for the fractional-order pseudo-differential operators.

Graphs are the figures which have some points (called vertices) and some curves (called edges) with two vertices as endpoints. Planar graphs are graphs which are able to be drawn on the plane without selfcrossings. The graphs drawn in this way are called plane graphs. The plane graphs whose edges are all straight line segments are said straight line plane graphs. Two plane graphs are ambient isotopic if one can be transformed into the other in the plane without selfcrossings. In 1948 I.Fary proved that every plane graph is ambient isotopic to a straight line plane graph. This theorem is called Fary's theorem. We consider the problem that if some edge-disjoint paths of a plane graph are given, then how conditions are satisfied that the plane graph is ambient isotopic to a straight line plane graph such that these paths are straight line segments. In this paper, we give the necessary conditions that the plane graph is ambient isotopic to a straight line plane graph like this.

Linear subproblem is a subclass of the Newtonian N-body problem where configuration space is a linear subset of R^<vN> (v = 2 for planar problern, v = 3 for spatial problem). If its degree of freedom (i.e., dimension of configuration space) is f(< vN), then it is called a linear f-subproblem. In this paper, we show a theorem on linear subproblems, i.e., the general planar three-body problem cannot be a linear 3-subproblem.
