It is difficult to analyze silzin bronze and lead bronze by means of the emission spectrochemical analysis under the ordinary conditions, i.e.LVA in air, because of the presence of a remarkable matrix effect.
In order to find the suitable conditions for the analysis of these alloys, effects of the atmosphere of N
2, Ar and air were examined by varing the electrical parameters in the source circuit.
Good results were obtained with the circuit HVS-Oμ H and HVS-72Oμ in N
2 atmosphere for silzin and leaded bronzes respectively.
