The essence of digital transformation caused by the Internet Revolution, which has been called social change since the Industrial Revolution, is the collaboration between cyber and physical, and to bring new value to analog by digital. Platformers such as GAFA have grown rapidly as matchmakers that offer new experiences to individual customers based on a large amount of customer data, and are finally trying to enter the physical world. In order to convert the value provided by the company from products or services to the experience of individual customers, it is necessary to create an organization that collaborates across the boundaries of companies and industries and seeks new knowledge and deepens organizational capabilities at the same time.

The Japanese Society for Quality Control (JSQC) set up “research group for Quality of service” in April, 2016. The research group pushed forward the construction scheme for the service standardization. Subsequently, JSQC set up service excellence section to develop comprehensive activities for implementation in October, 2018. On the other hand, ISO/TC312 “Excellence in Service” was established for international standardization in September, 2017. National mirror committee of Japan organized for ISO/TC312 in February 2018. The committee is progressing aggressive approach. The service excellence section of JSQC watches those trends. The section regularly holds a meeting for knowledge sharing. Information about TC312 and research of designing excellent service is offered and discussed in the meeting. We hope to collect and analyze the use cases of companies through this meeting.

Somebody says it means changes in business structure or business process.
Someone else says it is the social impact of digital technologies.
But it is still unclear what it means.
We discuss the most essential innovation of DX from some case studies.
We introduce the concrete examples of essential & key concepts of DX.

It is clear the necessity and technology of introducing IoT and DX in the Japanese industrial field. However, if the IoT system planned by the business planning department or the research department is introduced into the field, it will stop at POC (Proof of Concept). In Japan, the field department manages the fields, takes the lead in collecting data and deploying the system. They also manage the budget. It is necessary to do IoT planning by them. By adopting Smart Fieldwork,
・Visualized IoT data can be used on the industrial fields
・Video and audio instructions and information sharing reduce work mistakes
    ・The labor shortages are resolved
・Supervisors can get a bird’s eye view of the situation
    ・Minimum production stoppages
These are the catalysts for promoting the adopting IoT for the fields by their department self.

This article discusses how to reduce the infection rate for COVID-19 infectious disease with a reduction target. To do so, we need to set an adequate quantitative target estimated from a numerical simulation. This article introduces the method for estimating the reduction target from numerical simulation based on a delayed stochastic SIR model. Furthermore, the method to estimate potential time when we can be active in outside in order to reduce the infection rate for COVID-19.The data quality and data portability required for meaningfully preventing infectious spread are also mentioned.

This article discusses the quality assurance of online education from the perspective of educational technology, particularly instructional design (ID). ID is applicable to different levels of quality management with a combination of both national and international educational frameworks and guidelines. Kumamoto University’s Graduate School of Instructional Systems, which offers a fully online graduate program, acts as a concrete example of the utilization of ID from all of macro, meso, and micro levels in terms of its quality assurance. Katsuaki Suzuki’s layer model for e-learning quality assurance, Robert Gagné’s nine events of instruction, and a researcher-developed list of checkpoints for video learning materials are introduced as micro-level quality assurance tools for online education. Regardless of how education is delivered, face-to-face or online, all macro, meso, and micro level perspectives on quality assurance with ID are critical for real quality control.

This article is about multivariate analysis where scales fish fall from the eye. In the data analysis process, it is important to clarify the purpose, define the population, examine the gap between the statistical model and the data at hand, and grow the statistical model. The contents to be introduced will be a case study using logistic regression analysis for the following three problems.
    1. Alternative problem. 2. Pattern classification problem. 3. Paired comparison problem.
