A new criterion is introduced for the unique determination of single sampling plans by attributes with given producer's and consumer's risk. This criterion is considered to give clear expression to one aspect of the designing principle of the JIS Z 9002 table. The sampling inspection table based on this criterion is compared with the JIS Z 9002 table. It is concluded that, in spite of the acceptance number and the size of samples given by the former is generally smaller than those by the latter, the departure of the actual producer's and consumer's risk from the nominal levels is much more moderate in our table. A good procedure is proposed to get the above sampling plans approximately when the quality levels are not included in the table.

The problem of estimating the parameters of the dynamic systems, which make their quality characteristics fall within the given quality standard, was delt as a satisfaction problem and a method for solving this problem was developed in the previous work. In this research, on the basis of this work, we propose the theory for the parameter improvement system with two-level structure which can estimate many parameter values of the large-scale, complex and dynamic systems more effectively. Furthermore, for the purpose of settling the fundamental abnormal injection problem of the fuel injection system of the diesel engine, which has not been solved in the field of mechanical engineering, we apply this theory to the mathematical model described by the large-scale and complex differential equations and dvelop the parameter improvement spstem which can improve many design values of the injection system sequentially with the system simulation. By this method, we can obtain the satisfactory solution effectively and demonstrate that this method contributes to the quality analysis and improvement in the quality design system.
