The Product Development Process Research Group is a research activity jointly organized with the Japanese Society for Quality Control and the Robust Quality Engineering Society. After spending half a year on sharing the problems and tasks on the management of the development processes, we organized three working groups in 2019:WG1 on the development of upstream processes for customer value creation, WG2 on the technology development processes that balance creativity and efficiency, WG3 on the application of loss functions to the evaluation of new business processes. Each working group held meetings every one or two months to put its arguments and discussions forward. This report is the current report on the activities of our research group. We are looking forward to receiving applications for joining our research group from all members of JSQC.
