The relationship between the film properties and its abrasion resistance has been studied with epoxy resin films cured by different levels of a polyamide resin. Abrasion resistance was measured with a Sutherland rub tester, a Taber abrasion tester, and the properties correlated with stress-strain property, dynamic visco-elasticity, etc.BR Abrasion resistance was closely related with cross-linking density, and the hig-hest abrasion resistance was obtained at a slightly higher epoxy / polyamide resin ratio than the equivalent crossinking ratlio. The correlation between film hard-ness and abrasion resistance could not be confirmed in this experiment, but the latter show a rising tendency with the increase of the former. No relation was found between breakin g energy and abrasion resistance.
