This paper describes the design and construction of the prestressed concrete water tower with the tank of 1 300 m
3 storage capacity built at Kamariya in Yokohama city. The water tower is 22m high has the diameter of 15.0~23.88m, and the slipform and prestressing system with unbonded cables were employed in the construction of the tank wall. This paper reviews the plan of this water tower, the outline of the structural design and construction, slipform works and the quality control system. In this paper, the special emphasis is laid on the slipform access.
