The present Structural Eurocodes have been stipulated and have influenced greatly on not only Japanese technical standards but also ISO codes. Due to the European harmonization process, all traditional national standards in conflict to Eurocodes have already to be withdrawn. Public clients or agencies have also replaced their own technical specifications when purchasing construction products or services after April 1
st 2010. Histories, systems and contents of the present Eurocodes are described briefly at first and then some fundamental plans and concepts of Future Structural Eurocodes are described not only the four key points of Maintenance, Harmonization, Further development, and Promotion but also the Sustainability added in the Construction Products Regulation which Regulation is a highest level legislation among European Union legal systems.
