The tunnel built by the ECL method, which applied SFRC, is only one in our country. Therefore, various data concerning the ECL method is less than that of the shield tunneling-method which uses segments. Then, to confirm strength of SFRC lining of the superlarge tunnel, bending experiments under axial loads were done with specimens which had the thickness of a real large size. As results, it was confirmed that SFRC lining had tough ductility, and had dispersion of cracks like reinforced concrete. Moreover, strengths of all SFRC lining were more than design resistance. It was clarified that the design by the proposed design and construction manual was safe enough.
