In creating products and services that realize customer value, human resources are desired who can properly inherit the organization’s values and technology and who can quickly respond to changes in the business environment and solve problems and issues. However, it is often difficult to develop human resources who can accurately respond to the changing needs and expectations of customers and society.
This article describes a system for promoting human resource development with quality at its core, using practical examples such as the role of the human resource development committee, the process of clarifying work performance abilities and human resource development plans, the system of education and training, and quality management education and training.

It is a fact beyond any doubt that Japan’s international competitiveness has been declining rapidly in recent years. Various reasons have been discussed to this day, but it is also said that they are not unrelated to the content of school education. In fact, there is almost no school education about problem solving. In Japan, ideas and methods for problem solving (quality control) have been developed mainly in the manufacturing industry, and have been highly praised internationally. On the other hand, in most fields other than the manufacturing industry(service industry, medical care, government, etc.), there was no opportunity for education, so it has not spread to this day. Therefore, we have been collaborating with the Aichi Prefectural Board of Education to create teaching materials with the aim of introducing problem-solving classes to high schools. This paper introduces the background and contents.

In response to rapid digital technology advancements, our company, certified in DX(Digital Transformation)by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, has focused on improving business processes through digital technology. The TQM Promotion Department, to which I belong,is committed to developing talent capable of creating new value in the DX era. We faced challenges in cultivating practical skills and stagnation in developing core data utilization personnel. To address these, we shifted from lecture-based to practice-oriented education and internalized instructor training. Despite the pandemic's impact on face-to-face training, we successfully increased the number of trained personnel and improved practical application through online education and inhouse advisors’ guidance. This paper presents our educational improvement strategies, including roleplaying workshops, and their effectiveness in enhancing practical skills.
