The corrosion of magnesia refractory brick with calcium aluminosilicate slag was conducted by crucible corrosion test at1550℃.The corrosion behavior of MgO grains during slag penetration was investigated by the microstructural analysis of corroded magnesia refractory brick And the mechanism of the corrosion behavior of MgO grains was discussed with the phase diagrams,It has been concluded that MgO grains dissolved into slag indirectly and that the spinel phase formed at the interface between magnesia refractory brick and slag dissolved directly into the newly penetrating slag.
