The results in this study are to the following effect:
(1) The middle point of the (upper and lower) lip as well as the (upper and lower) dental archs did not show any significant difference between both sexes and among several classes of age, concerning its position in reference to the median line.
(2) Though the positional asymmetry of LS did not differ from that of LI significantly, there was a significant difference between AS and Al, LS and AS, LI and AI respectively, concerning their position in reference to the median line.
(3) LS and LI showed on the right side a greater percentage than on the left side.
(4) In AS and Al the percentage of the left sided point did not differ significantly from that of the right sided point.
(5) Both the left sided and right sided points did not show any significant difference of percentage between AS and Al. The percentage of the point on the median line was in AS significantly greater than in Al; this fact stands probably in close connection with the mobility of the mandible.
(6) Concerning their position in reference to the median line LS stood in correlation with LI, so AS with AI, LS with AS, and LI with Al.
