Based on the researches of single stage periodic reordering system by H. J. Vassian, M. Soshiroda and so on, this paper deals with some periodic reordering system characterized by the following points. Namely, (1) as a demand quantity model, the moving average (M. A.) time series model is induced, and (2)model identification technique and estimation technique of orthogonal (uncorrelated) elements in M. A. Model are included in this inventory control system. Finally, (3) for calculating the order quantity, such orthogonal elements are utilized positively. Concerning the above system, particularly on the single stage system, we clarified the characteristics under various conditions, and in addition suggested some procedure, which makes use of the single stage characteristics, to obtain the characteristios of multi-stage tandem inventory system.
