Traditionally, inserting methods in the automation have been a vertical method, that is, to insert the works into the holes vertically.However, when an industrial robot fails to grasp the work, the vertical insertion will not be successful and sometimes stop all the automation line, Therefore, the new inserting method which prevents inserting failure was studied in this paper.The new inserting method is developed in consideration of human motion, The method has two important factors;the angle of the industrial robot hand and the insertion depth of a work.As a result of the industrial robot motion, the new inserting method has greater capacity of errors than the vertical insertion,

The purpose of this study is to find the motion characteristics and to estimate the required work time in drawing work.Twenty four kinds of figures;triangles, squares, ellipses, circles, curved lines and straight lines are studied.A VTR system is used to record each motion time for drawing work.The resultant data from VTR recording shows that the motion time have a high level of significance with the length of pen movement, because of the high correlation coefficient by figure length and dawing speed.From the result of this analysis, the delayed time was found to be constant.Using the length of pen movement and the delayed time, the motion time for drawing work can be calculated.

The purpose of this paper is to clarify the relationship between psychological evaluated value and physical measured value of contact rubber used in Pushbutton Dial Telephone.The force and displacement as the physical measured value of stimulus were measured from contact rubbers of fifteen telephone units.The category judgement was adopted for scaling.As the result, the physical measured values for designing the contact rubber in consideration of psychological evaluated values were obtained.

In this paper, interval regression methods are proposed for a realistic data set which has some outliers.The proposed methods are generalization of the interval regression method proposed by Tanaka et al., and have the possibility of wide application to the fuzzy or possibilistic regression analysis.First a mixed 0-1 integer programming problem is formulated to obtain the interval regression model which includes k data points out of m given data points.A computational algorithm of this problem is proposed.Next a multi-objective programming problem is formulated to cope with the situation where the number of data points included in the interval regression model is not decided in advance.This problem has two objectives : to minimize the width of the model and to maximize the number of data points included in it.The effectiveness of the proposed methods is demonstrated by numerical examples.

In this paper, a linear programming problem with interval coefficients is formulated and analyzed.First, the LP problem with interval coefficients is formulated by replacing the coefficients of the conventional LP problem with interval coefficients.Next, we propose a method to transform the inequality constraints with interval coefficients into the conventional LP constraints.Furthermore, to maximize an interval objective function, we define order relations between intervals which represent the preference of the decision maker.Using these definitions, the maximization problem with the interval objective function is reformulated as a multiobjective LP problem.We also analyze a minimization problem with the interval objective function.Last, we demonstrate the proposed method by a numerical example.

This paper deals with the Periodic Lot Scheduling System under the condition of the payment by installments with unequal supply-intervals and supply-quantities.First, we discuss the processing starting time of the first Lot by using the production planning rule, Cyclical Production Sequence and Fixed Lot Size, to make the tardiness time at each due date zero under the above condition.Secondly, in order to make the total stagnation time of finished goods shorter, we propose the method of inserting Idle Time into the schedule with the above production planning rule.Finally, we show this method available for the above condition.

This paper deals with temporary threshold shift of finger-tip vibratory sensation induced by exposure to spectrum vibration.Three experiments were carried out using ten subjects with normal vibratory sensation.The spectrum vibration was applied to the right hand through a handle attached to an electro-dynamic vibration exciter and practical vibration tools for 2.5,5 and 10 minutes.Threshold of 125 Hz vibratory sensation was measured at every 2.5 dB step at right forefinger-tip before exposure and every minute after vibration exposure.As a result, the predicted equation for temporary threshold shift of vibratory sensation induced by exposure to spectrum vibration was obtained.

These days, engineering changes for products and parts are frequently done in the manufacturing industry.Most of engineering changes for parts are made in order to reduce costs.From an economical point of view, we need a production planning which will be used for both new and old parts.As a result of engineering changes, the carrying and the purchasing costs for new materials should be reduced.In this paper, an algorithm for production planning is formulated by the use of Linear Programming method in consideration of engineering changes.In addition, the relation between the optimal quantity of old parts and the total cost for production is derived and the process of planning is illustrated.

In business and non-business organizations, there are many decision problems where decision makers consider multiple goals.For such problems, the mathematical approach called"fuzzy goal programming"has been developed.In this paper, fuzzy goal programming with three types of goals is formulated by simple membership functions.Optimal solution is obtained by simplex method.Then, fuzzy goal programming is illustrated on goal plane.
