We are confronted with the aging problems in industried which will give many impacts to our management in near future. This paper suggests strategies for those problems in terms of Industrial Engineering viewpoint. Those are the new integrated man-power management system including product, payment, education physicasl strength development, and so forth. As a new product system, Job Design for Life Cycle (JDLC) through using a statistical method is proposed here, which has already applied to an enterprise.

In order to set a realistic target under today's rapidly varying and complicated environment for business enterprises, a theory of creative-taeget-setting was proposed in the previous paper. The theory defined four phases in thinking process, namely creation phase, execution phase (1), (2) and (3). In this paper, the process of thinking in each of the four phases is deal with. And a method of application of the theory to a practical problem is attempted by clarifying transition of such conditions as precondition, restictive condition, functional condition, etc. through the four phases.

Thie study develops some corrections of the normal distribution approximation test for difference beteween two Poisson parameters. This artivle deals with a comparison of type I error for differences among five tests (exact test, normal approximation test, Yates's correction for continuity, deliberate on kurtosis and square root-transformation), give the hypothesis that H_0 : λ_1=λ_2. The normal approximation test by Yate's correction for continuity provides a vert good approximation to the exact test characterized by Binomial distribution of P=1/2.

This paper is concerned with the double k-class estimation methods for econometric model in which we especially consider the k-class estimation method and the h-class estimation method. The properties of both estimation (i.e., mean square error, bias and variance) for k-variables are studied by a Monte Carlo simulation. In consequence of the experiment we obtain the optimum ranges of k-variables for both estimation methods. Generally the value of k which gives minimum mean square error for the k-class estimator is shown by 0≦k≦1. On the other hand for the h-class estimator, 0≦k≦kU (where, 1≦k_U).

Two rules for identifying the population of origin of each observation sampled from two normal mixed (or not mixed) population are proposed. They have a preliminary test under the null hypothesis H_0 : "The population is not mixed." And one of them is MER (Minimum Error Rate) rule and the other is MSE (Minimum Mean Squared Error) rule. Let p be a mixture rate and put δ=(μ_2-μ_1)/δ≧0. Theoretically, the preliminary test doesn't give performance under MER rule, but good one under MSE rule when p and δ fail in the region p≦Φ(-δ/2). In conclusion, by the Monte Carlo method containing step of estimation of unknown p and δ, it will be seen that the both rules with preliminary test have good performance, where its significant level α is nearly equal to 0.5.

Given three production processes, the units from which fail in accordance with the Weibull distribution with unknown scale parameter, the problem of selecting the particular process with the larger mean life is considered. Thre procedures are considered and for large number of observations it is shown that the procedure of type [N, C, R] yields relatively high efficiencies. (All efficiencies considered are relative to the type [N, B, T_R].) The paper also examines the robustness of these procedures.

This paper presents the result of analysis by the latent profile analysis and the quantification teory (II) applied to the answers to a questionnarie. One of the results in that the level of individual work motivation is explained with higher precision, if the quantification theory is applied, after the workers have been divided into two latent classes according to their through on the work motivation, namely, (1) the class of workers having answered that human relations with superior officers and fellow workers are most important, and (2) the class of workers having answered that character and/or ability fitted to work are essential.

In the series of this study, the authors have examined the characteristics of the manufacturing work groups concerning the group effectiveness (satisfaction to tasks and satisfaction to human relations). In this paper, the characteristics of each multidimensional classified-factor were figured with regard to group effectiveness. Those factors are made from classifying each work group's element (i.e., set of workers, set of tasks and set of supervisors) based on a few of its attributes. As the result, the authors intimated that some effective manufacturing work groups can be formed based on those figured characteristics.

This paper proposes a goal programming model for aggregate production planning which enables to form an optimal production plan, where we are able to utilize two actual and prospective demand. The results are summarized as below : (1)The scheduling informations are obtained in more detail than in the model which does not distinguish between two type informations for demand. (2) Consequently, the scheduling process can be much curtalied than in the convertional case where that process in needed independently. (3)The subcontractors can hace a constant volume of order.
