Some oral symptoms frequently associate with diabetes mellitus irr human beings and parodontal lesions are most common. On the other hand, hyperglycaemia can be induced in some animals by injections of Alloxan. Glickman observed osteoporosis of the alveolar bones in albino rats suffering from Alloxan diabetes (1946). But no report was given on lesions of the oral mucous membrane. We observed oral lesions, similar to human gingivostomatitis, in a dog in which diabetes was experi mentally induced through injections of Alloxan. In this paper the details are presented.
