ジャーナル フリーA large number of proteins of diverse origin are being found to undergo covalent modification by the addition of long-chain, saturated fatty acids such as myristate and palmitate. Many of these acylated proteins appear to play critical roles in transmembrane regulatory pathways in cells by modulating the reversible association of these proteins with membrane. Fatty acid moiety of the acylated protein seems to enhance the affinity of the protein to the phospholipid bilayer and the membrane binding is then stabilized by the association with a specific membrane protein, The protein-membrane interaction is also regulated by protein-phosphorylation and/or acylation-deacylation cycle of these acylated proteins.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (2044K) -

ジャーナル フリーProtein-mediated membrane fusion plays a crucial role in the eukaryotic world. Especially, steps such as endocytosis and exocytosis require strongly regulated and coordinated fusion events. The fusion protein, however, is still not identified in spite of increased sophistication of cell-free assay systems for measuring the intracellular fusions because "multi-subunit" protein complex seems to be involved in the fusions. ジャーナル フリーThe mouse t haplotype is a variant of chromosome 17 with 4 inversions. The t haplotype mice are widely spread in Mus musculus subspecies in the world with high frequencies (10-43%) by transmission ratio distortion. The comparison of Tcp-1 intron sequences revealed that the origin was 2.9 mya and the spread by introgression over the boundary of subspecies was within 0.4 myr, suggesting their dissemination with man. Most of the polymorphism of In (17) 4 as well as lethality factors are thus supposed to be derived by rare recombination events after the introgression to respective M. musculus subspecies.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (1264K) -
