ジャーナル フリーIn the past, many investigators have worked on the field of splitting lines, however their attention has been almost neglected on the subject of the irregular splitting lines. In 1957 a report by professor T. NAKAYAMA, M. D. was published which stated that the irregular splitting lines might be a direct functional manifestation which occurs as a defense reaction of the tissue. Hence, study was conducted on age changes and their relation to the splitting lines in the mucous membrane of the tongue. The muscular organs, tongues were obtained from 72 dogs of red and short hair type, from 60 days pre-natal growth to 14 years of age. The following summary contains the conclusions of the study : 1. It is possible to differentiate the splitting lines-system and the irregular splitting lines in the mucous membrane of the tongue. 2. The direction of the splitting line indicates the direction of its development. For the irregular splitting lines, it was assumed that there are two types : one is a result of friction of developing power and the other accompanies general tongue function. 3. The age changes of the splitting lines demonstrates aging process of tongue development. The differrential stages are : a. Pre-incipient growth stage (60 days pre-natal) b. Incipient growth stage (10-30 days post-natal) c. Rapid growth stage of transverse and thick development (2-6 months post-natal) d. Rapid growth stage of longitudinal development (7-11 months post-natal) e. Maturation stage (1-6 years post-natal) f. Atrophy stage (10-14 years post-natal) 4. It is a general occurance to have many resulting irregular splitting lines within the continuous lines system itself on the lingual mucous membrane. And this result is, the author thinks, based on the fact that the tongue is a very active muscle organ and is subject to polymorphic exercise.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (5412K) -

ジャーナル フリーSomatological measurements were conducted on a total 171 male forestry workers ranging in age from 20 to 59 as selected from Yakushima islanders. The values of measurement were assessed on the basis of the duration of services, irrespective of individual age. Major results were as follows. 1. Every parts of the body trunk to be measured by length and height, except for the length of trunk, showed increase in accordance with the duration of service. 2. The girth and the breadth of the body trunk were also increased, in accordance with the duration of service with the exception of the acromion-breadth and antero-posterior diameter of the chest. 3. ジャーナル フリーAn improvement in the results of treatment for malignant tumor in the oral cavity is expectd with combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. It is the purpose of this paper to report the time factor for the combined effects of X-ray and antitumor agents. A study has been conducted in vitro on cultured KB cells from the two stand points, namely the cell survival rate and morphologic changes. The results obtained are as follows : 1) In 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) or Mitomycin C (MMC) treatment to KB cells, given before or after X-ray radiation, only additive inhibitory effects are shown, regardless of numbers of treatment of 5-FU or MMC. 2) In combined treatment of 5-FU or MMC with X-ray radiation for KB cells simultaneously, geometrical inhibitory effects are observed. 3) From the morphologic studies, the most intensive inhibitory effects are seen in the experimental series of simultaneous treatment of 5-FU or MMC and X-ray radiation. 4) As far as our expreimental series are concerned, no significant difference in inhibitory effects are noted by combined treatment of X-ray radiation with either 5-FU or MMC.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (2035K) -

ジャーナル フリーThe auther made an attempt to implant Brown-Pearce Tumor's homogenate into the testicles (successive transplantation), the tongue, the cheek, of the rabbits. The results thus obtained were described below. 1. Successive transplantation (into the testicles) 1 The forty out of the fifty three cases (75. 4 per cent) were positive about the successive transplanation. 2 The seven out of these cases (13. 2 per cent) developed a small nodule at the site of inoculation which appeared to be something more than the usual granulomatous reaction but was not sufficiently difinite to warrant a positive diagnosis of tumor growth. The six out of these cases (11.4 per cent) did not appeare to be positive cases of tumor growth. 3 The existece period of the rabbits, which were transplanted the tumor, was about two weeks in the winter season, and was about four weeks in the summer season. 4 The course of the tumor growth was somewhat different. 5 At autopsy, the metastasis adout the positive cases were found in the omentum, the mesentery, the diaphragm, the peritoneum, at the early stage after transplantation, and that remarkably. 2. Transplantation into the cheek and the tongue 1 The five out of the fifteen cases (33 per cent), which were transplanted the tumor into the cheek were positive. The five out of thirteen cases (44 per cent), which were transplanted the tumor into the tongue were positive. 2 The three out of the thirteen cases (23 per cent) developed a small nodule at the site of tongue, which appeared to be something more than the usual granulomatous reaction but was not sufficiently difinite to warrant a positive diagnosis of tumor growth. The ten out of the fifteen cases (67 per cent), which were transplanted the tumor into the cheek did not appeare to be positive diagnosis of tumor growth. The five out of the thirteen cases (33 per cent), which were transplanated the tumor into the tongue did not appear to be positive diagnosis of tumor growth. 3 The existence period of the rabbits, which were transplanted the tumor into the cheek was about three weeks and the period for the rabbits which were transplanted the tumor into the tongue were about two weeks. 4 At autopsy, the metastasis of the rabbits with transplantation of tumor into the cheek, were found in the submaxillary lympatic gland and the neck lympatic gland. Central teeth The range of height and width of teeth. H ; 0.19-0.29mm, the mean 0.23mm, W ; 0.20-0.29mm, the mean 0.25mm. The number and the type of the cusps. 7 cusps 3-1-3 type (30%), 9 cusps 4-1-4 type (20%), 10 cusps 5-1-4 type (16%). Inner lateral teeth The range of height and width of teeth. H ; 0.33-0.39mm, the mean 0.34mm, W ; 0.15-0.19mm, the mean 0.17mm. The number and the type of the cusps. 8 cusps 4-1-3 type (51%), 7 cusps 3-1-3 type (34%). Outer lateral teeth The range of height and width of teeth. H ; 0.43-0.45mm, the mean 0.43mm, W ; 0.10mm. The number the type of the cusps. 7 cusps 3-1-3 type (42%), 8 cusps 4-1-3 type (24%), 9 cups 4-1-4 type (19%). Marginal teeth The range of height and width of teeth. H ; 0.45-0.49mm, the mean 0.47mm, W ; 0.10-0.13mm, the mean 0.11mm. The number of the cusps. 8 cusps (58%), 7 cusps (37%). ジャーナル フリーMandibulo-facial dysostosis largely involves structures derived from the first branchial arch, groove, and pouch. The term, Treacher Collins syndrome, has been widely recognized as the condition which was indicated by E. Treacher Collins in 1900. Franceschetti and co-workers in 1944 published an extensive review of this syndrome and named it mandibulo-facial dysostosis. We encountered on May 17, 1968, a 46-year-old female with the right palpebral fissure slanting downward laterally (antimongoloid), microtia, hypoplasia of malar bone, zygomatic arch and mandibula on the right side, defect of muscular process and recession of the chin. Our case seems to belong to the unilateral form of mandibulo-facial dysostosis (Treacher Collins syndrome). This case was not discriminated from Goldenhar's syndrome.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (1135K) -

ジャーナル フリーThe authors experienced a case of female infant with congenital teeth, as a very rare case, these teeth erupted symmetrically on the upper and lower jaws, it thought to be first primary molars. On the seven weeks after the birth, the patient had discreased body weight for congenital teeth with disorder of the lactation. The patients were extracted the congenital teeth, at the same time, under the local anesthesia for discrease of the post bleeding. After the extraction of the teeth, the lactation and body weight of the patient were recovery as surely. The shape of the crown in these congenital teeth was nearly similar to that of normal deciduous first primary molars on the both side upper and lower jaws, and no normal root formation were to be seen in all of these teeth.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (918K) -

ジャーナル フリーWe described the clinical evaluation of Bleomycin by using 21 patients for the treatment of oral cancer, etc, from May '68 to Feb. '69. Twelve cases were admitted to be effective out of all cases. But in 15 cases that we prescribed Bleomycin individually, we obtained 4 excellent, 6 moderate and none effect in 5 cases. So, 66.7% were accepted to be effective. we observed side effect of Bleomycin ; an attack of fever, fallen hair, stomatitis, and coloring or sclerosis of the skin, etc. But we had no cases of serious side effect, such as leukopenia, pneumonic symptom, and so on.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (527K) -
