Wing variation of Eurema hecabe contubernalis (Moore, 1886) from Thailand was investigated in wild individuals. The results suggest that the seasonal-morph variation appears between the rainy and dry seasons although the degree of the change is very small and individual difference is large.

Oviposition characteristics and other reproductive aspects of Eurema blanda were compared with E. hecaba. Although these two species are closely related, the reproductive particularities were different from each other. In the field, E. blanda eggs were found in clusters consisting of 25 to 85 eggs, while E. hecabe eggs were found singly on host plants. The dissection of wild females showed that E. blanda were carrying much more eggs than E. hecabe. Laboratory experiments showed that E. blanda deposited much more eggs per female and per oviposition-day than E. hecabe and that oviposition-day interval was longer in E. blanda than in E. hecabe. Video-tape analyses confirmed that E. blanda females consecutively continued to lay eggs in clusters without intervening flights. The dissection of virgin females also showed that the ovarian maturation was different between the two species : the production of mature eggs in ovaries occurred more slowly but the eggs were much more in E. blanda than in E. hecabe.

The genus Gibberifera Obraztsov, 1946 is revised. The monophyly of the genus is supported by two autapomorphies. Ten species of the world are treated, including four new ones : angkhangensis, nigrovena, hepaticana and alba. G. glaciata (Meyrick, 1907) is recognized as an independent species, and newly recorded from Pakistan, Nepal, Thailand, Taiwan and China. G. obscura Diaknoff, 1964 is new to the fauna of Pakistan. Adults, wing venation and genitalia are illustrated, and key to species based on male genitalia is given.

To know the determinants of adult wing forms, f. crocale and f. pomona, and larval and pupal coloration of the Sabahan population of the Lemon Migrant, Catopsilia pomona, the larvae were reared in isolation or in crowds under a short (10-hour) photoperiod or natural photoperiods (about 13-hour) at room temperatures (22-34℃). The larval photoperiod affected the adult forms : several intermediate forms emerged under the short day, while all the individuals were of f. crocale under natural photoperiods. A phase variation was observed in the larval stage : conspicuous black lateral stripes appeared in the larvae reared in crowds, while the larval body was almost green in the solitary rearing. The high density also caused the slight shortening of larval stage and the decrease in pupal size. The pupal coloration was proved to be determined by the ground color of substratum for pupation : yellowish green and brown backgrounds induced greenish and brownish pupae, respectively.
