The author has studied Sineugraphe exusta BUTLER and two related species : disgnosta BOURSIN and longipennis EOURSIN based on many specimens. In addition to giving specific differences in general appearance and male genitalia, he has illustrated the feature of female genitalia of these 3 species as a means of specific discrimination. The local distribution of these moths are as follows : S. exusta : Hokkaido, Honsyu, Kyusyu.; S. disgnosta : Hokkaido, Honsyu, Sikoku, Kyusyu ; S. longipennis : Honsyu, Sikoku, Kyusyu. A new form of disgnosta has been also described by the author. Sineugraphe disgnosta BOURSIN f. boursini OGATA This is fairly separable from the typical form by fore wing with two black spots in cell : one of them being triangular, direct proximally to the orbicular, the other triangular or square between the reniform and the orbicular.
