Virachola rapaloides NARITOMI comb. nov. (Figs. 6 & 7) Up to now, the unique specimen has been known to science since my original description (1941), as I have been keeping another ♂ specimen in my collection, I describe it as neallotype. The difference between ♂ and ♀ is as follows. Wing shape. Producing of outer margin of hindwings at the end of vein 3 and vein 7 is equal in both ♂ and ♀, while in ♂ forewings is narrower, apex produced, and tornus makes right angle. On the other hand ♀ has broader round shape. Upperside. Groundcolour of ♀ is uniformly dark brown, and ♂ is about the same but with an exception. In ♂, the difference is a few purple patches which occupy both at whole cell and inner two thirds of space 1 in forewings, and the area between vein 2 to vein 7 in hindwings. Only ♂ hat a small dark brown brand near the base of hindwings above. Underside. Groundcolour of both sexes is greyish white, but ♂ is darker. Discocellular and median bands of both wings are broad, but narrower width in 8 , darker than groundcolour, and edged by the slender white lines. Length of forewings ♂17mm., ♀19mm.; Expanse ♂29mm., ♀33mm. Neallotype ♂, Puli (Horisha), Formosa, 30. viii. 1943, Col. F. TASHIRO ; ♀(Holotype), Noko, Formosa, viii. 1940,; In my collection. V. rapaloides is most closely resembles to Sinthusa kuyaniana (MATSUMUTA) comb, nov., but it can be distinguished from kuyaniana by the several points ; for example, remarkable difference of wing size, lacking of small black spots on the base of hindwings below, etc. Virachola ferrea ARAKI (Fig. 8) It was hitherto only one female (Holotype in ARAKI'S collection) is known to science, and it wa,s, lost during the last war, so I describe here another ♀ of this species. 1 ♀, Puli, Formosa 15. viii. 1943, Col.
