In landscape management of scinic area, the control of colors used for structure is one of the most significant point. However, effective color guide has not been framed till today.
The aim of this paper is to define the cloro guide which possess the scientific foundation and the consistency of policy. For this purpose, we carried out studies consisting of the following four investigations:
    (1) reserch on the history of landscape management and administration in japanese national park.
    (2) preliminary survey of colors used for buildings at three places of scinic area.
    (3) country-wide survey on colors used for structure within the national park.
    (4) analysis of color images using the color simulator system.
Using the results of these investigations, we defined the color guides for building.

To investigate the effects of several attributes on the inducements of parks, six parks were selected based on three attributes of parks which were vegetations, width of area and neighboured traffic conditions. Some parks have dense vegetation and the others have little. These parks ranged from smaller than 1 ha to larger than 10 ha. Some parks were sited by a broad street with frequent traffics. At these parks, the number of visitors were counted and their address were inquired
The neighboured area of parks were divided into concentric zones by the distance from the park. The number of visitors were counted in each radial zone and divided by the number of inhabitants to make inducement rates. These rates were correlated with the distance from the park, and inducement rate curves were obtained. A coefficient and a constant of the curve represent transitions of inducement. A large coefficient indicates wide inducement sphere of park and a la' ge constant indicates strong inducement at neighbouring area.
The effects of attributes were observed as the differences of coefficients among the parks. Large parks have large values and this tendancy was appeared more clealy in vegetated parks.
The effects of neighboured traffic condition were observed as the differences of constants among the directions of each park. A great difference was observed at the directions of each park. A great difference was observed at the direction with frequent street.

This study is concerned with views from the Shinden-zukuri residence. The specific characters of 3 categories, buildings, garden, nature, which compose the views lead to the consequences of the views as follows.
    1. The buildings and the garden are united as a ceremonial space in the Shinden-zukuri residence. And the construction of the corridors; Roh and Watadono, which connect main buildings such as Shinden and Tai, are continually open to surrounding views. The visivilities during viewing activities of the ceremonies are, therefore, continually open. Distant natural views from the residencial area are not considered to have been intently framed up from common scenery in Kyoto district.
    2. Garden is constructed by means of the topographical condition and use of the natural things, and is, therefore, phisically a part of the nature. The outword views are appreciated as the extention of the garden sceneries, and has only secondary function as to the ornamental background for the ceremonies held in the garden.
    3. There happened the division between city and agricultural area in terms of both scenic and social economical aspects in 9-12c. The ruling class couldnot recognize the differences of city and nature categoties, and also couldhot realize to grasp them synthetically.
