    This study has been carrid on to choose the areas which are important for recreational uses from the standpoint of regional open spaces and recreational planning the Kinki Region. There are so many approaches to this aim, but it was tried to get the recreational potentialities in these areas from two aspects; one is to analize the potentiality of the humman behavior for recreation activities within the Kinki Region and the other is to evaluate the potentality of recreational resources in the Kinki Region. The area potential as to human behavior of recreation actities was recoginzed through five steps which are indicated as follows;
    1. Establishment of origin station for recreation activies; it was composed with the daily movement of commuters and students and twenty-three origin stations were grouped by interdependence of each city and county.
    2. Classification of recreation activities; recreation activities were classified in four dierent types based on human behavior. These are (a) day to day behavioral area under 25Km cycle (b) day to day behavioral area between 25-50Km cycle (c) day to day behavioral area between 50-100Km cycle and (d) behavioral area over 100Km cycle.
    3. Establishment of behavioral area; it was figured by physical distance correspond with recreational types from the origin point in each origin station.
    4. Calculation of recreational popuration; there are so many ways to calculate the recreational population but it was tried to calulate fromthe as pect in recreational types which were shown above and it was analized from the view point of present time and in future.
    5. Estimation of the recreational potential energy for areas; in this step, the results of above four steps were overlapped and the recreational potentiul energy bases on human behavior on each recreational types were investigated in Kinki Region as its density.
And the other hand, the area potential as to recrational resources was tried to lead from the aspect of the evaluation for potential value of resources which were classified bases on relationship between the nature and the artificial. The evaluation for potential value of each area was discussed with number of indivival esources, and as the results of this study, each area in Kinki Region was divided into four ranks.
Finally, on the bases of these two potencialities, the important areas for development and conservation for recreation activities were visualized in the Kinki Region.

The writer intended to study on fundamental problems of designs of linear green, such as green living path, with investigations and interview surveys at Shukugawa riverside park in Nishinomiya.
On users' habitation, it is shown that almost 30% of users distribute beyond borders of Nishino miya and Ashiya city, i. e., beyond 5km or more distant because these users regard this park as pedestrian path from stations on this riverside; and that the recreational effectivity of this park is more on the directions of park line, comparing with other directions to show a character of linear green.
On users' considerations, also it is shown that passing purpose ones show interest on landscapes, resting walkers show it on walking or resting facilities and players show it on playing facilities.
In this narrow linear green, they are satisfyed with landscape mostly, but not satisfyed with functional development and surrounding townscapes.
Cosidering characters of this park, it is judged that users are interested with its functional characters according to theiru sing purposes and its actual forms to their used impressions; and those are regarded to concern with design problems of linear greens on green living paths.

This report is a part of studies on Space Organization of Hieizan-Enryakuji Temple Area located in the hillside area of Kyoto.
In the first report, analysis for phenomenal systems which appears at space organization in Hieizan Enryakuji Temple area was discussed with natural systems, physical systems and visual systems. And moreover, the study was progressed to find out the systems in overlapping elements of phenomenal and cognitive systems of them. This intended to eliminate the peculiality of physical systems as the process of structurization of urban and regional open spaces to lead the foundamental consideration which menas the principle of space organization element in urban and regional open space planning. If the principle of space organization element for open space design is considered as the tool to find out the discovery of unity for space design which will be to exist, the foundamental element of space organization has to satisfy the requirement of unity in here does not mean congregation which space organization element gathers not only individually but also interdependentlly with mutual complemental bonds. The study must be considered to arrange and remodel the order of element in space organization as interdependence between natural systems, physical systems and visual systems should beintended to create more humanized space through the research of human behavior.
In the second report, the relationship between out-door space and human was discussed from aspect of visual characteristic of human behavior. The organization of out-door space is to arrange the physical environmental element in organic relation. And it is very important that out-door space should be planned and designed through interdependence with human behavior which control it. Analysis for visual characteristic of space organization was discussed with making the visual zone map based on sequencial experience of out-door space according to movement of observers.
The change of view through approaches for visual object and it's variation was checked at first, then discussed the process of space organization from the cognition of foundamental visual pattern.
In the third report12, visual zone map as projected model of pattern was replaced to visual volume of the objects was searched for interde pendence between recognition distance. Moreover, it was tried to formulate as mathematical model.
In this report, visual volume of the object and recognition distance was corresponded and was discussed about meaning of coefficient of each visual object.
    1) Foundamental cognition for recognition distance Generally, there are many factors to recognize the object. In this study, size f object, form of object, condition which is the object located, texture of the object, personal differenciation for appearance of the object, field of vision and discrimination were chosen as the major factor.
    2) Visual object and recognition distance Recognition distance was discussed with interdependence between foundamenta 1 element of space organization and human.
    3) The spatial meaning to recognition coefficience of visual object
Recognition distance-visual volume of the object and discrimination of visual object was corresponded and the spatial meaning to appearance of object was discussed with appearance coefficience.

In this study, the author tries to inquire into the formative and developmental processes of the village shrines as the public squares in ordrer to know the same processes of the squares in the feudal age in Japan.
In chapter 2, the changed characters of Chinju on mori, which they must have underwent on occasion of growing the village public open spaces, are studied in the case of the Hino shrine in the Mannor Kaivaraba yashi.
However, the formation of the Chinju on mori does not mean that all the members of the village are able to join it. In this study, the author suppose that the development of the squares should mean morse members joining in it.
And in chapter 3, the developmental processes ari tried to be studied through the medium of the organ zation of Miyaza which is apt to close most.
