On the two phases of postrotary nystagmus in pigeons, the anther proposed, the first phase may have no influence from the amounts of rotatoric stimulation, and the second phase may be in connection with the amounts of rotation in the duration and counts of head-nystagmus. The third phase may be observed in the condition of deepnarcosis.
Possible explanation of the relation between the headnystagmus and nystagmus of eye-balls, he says, the former may act as “to compensate” for the later, because the movements of neck may induce mechanically and reflectively to inhibite the sensitivity of the labyrinth.
