1) Neurons were successfully cultured from the auditory cortex, the inferior colliculus and the cochlear nucleus of kittens.
2) Some of the neurons from the auditory cortex showed migratory activity. These pyramidal neurons were in the same situation as neurons in the developing embryonic cerebrum and showed the same characteristics.
3) Using Bodian's silver impregnation, many bouton-like structures were observed in the cultured tissue of the cochlear nucleus and that of the inferior colliculus.
4) Cultured neurons were seen in contact with each other through many fine collaterals which terminated in bouton-like swellings.
