JOURNAL RESTRICTED ACCESSIn their recent paper on obliquely propagating nonlinear Alfvén wave, Mio et al. inferred that Kakutani and Ono treated a particular nonlinear wave and did not study nonlinear phenomena resulting from increasing amplitude of the linear Alfvén wave. The common base of these operators is a generalized Wigner distribution and their coherent states are determined. JOURNAL RESTRICTED ACCESSNonlinear profile of second sounds in liquid helium II was studied experimentally using heat pulse method. For a quantitative discussion the reductive perturbation method was applied to the Landau two fluid equations. JOURNAL RESTRICTED ACCESSThe nuclear spin relaxation times, T1 and T2, of 3He in high density 3He monolayer adsorbed on Grafoil were measured by means of pulsed NMR technique at temperatures between 1.2 and 4.2 K. The experimental results are interpreted in terms of the two dimensional motion of atoms and vacancies. JOURNAL RESTRICTED ACCESSThe relaxation time T1D of dipolar energy of proton spins in some ammonium salts has been compared with the relaxation time T1ρ measured in the rotating frame. We have found, in contradiction to the usual relation, that T1D is larger than T1ρ. JOURNAL RESTRICTED ACCESSThe intensity and linewidth of the sidebands on EPR lines have been measured in the impure Heisenberg linear chain (CH3)4NMn1−xCuxCl3(x<0.092). The intensity, compared with the pure chain (x=0), is related to {ΔHppm[x]⁄ΔHppm[0]}3⁄2, where ΔHppm[x] is the peak-to-peak linewidth of the main Zeeman-resonance at concentration x for the applied field along the chain axis. JOURNAL RESTRICTED ACCESSThe angular correlation of two gamma-rays from positrons annihilating in NaF crystal has been measured at several temperatures from 89 K to 300 K. The narrow component in the angular correlation curve resulting from the self-annihilation of delocalized positronium, which has already been reported to be obvious at liquid nitrogen temperature, is still noticeable at temperatures up to about 200 K. The lower levels of the lines were metastable levels which were considered to be in LTE with the ground level.
