Energy monitor in high power CO
2 laser system is required high performance, for instance, wide dynamic range and high sensitivity. Moreover, it must have large aperture size for detecting large laser beam. φ pyro-film (PVDF) calorimeter of which laser absorption layer was 50μm thick Nextel paint. Its dynamic range was 3 x10
