    Several methods for measuring the mechanical impedance of human body surface are discussed and their results are also presented. The purposes of these measurements are mainly to obtain the fundamental data for designing a phonocardiographic transducer (microphone). On the other hand, several measurements were performed for the purpose of investigating the mechanical behavior of human body to vibratory energy of jet and rocket engine.
    Generally, three types of measuring methods are available; the precise measurement by comparing output voltages and their phase angles of a vibrometer at each frequency, the automatic measurement by sweeping an oscillator at required frequency range and the simpler method for measuring the stiffness and mass of human body surface at a few frequencies. The merits and the demerits of each method are also discussed.
    Finally, some theoretical considerations concerning to human body impedance are described.

    Glare of headlights causes many troubles in night traffic. To prevent this, we may need to find a new rating method of glare. Quality of the visibility required in driving must be considered in this method.
    We developed a method using luminance on patterns as a measure of glare, this must be useful for improvement of lighting systems. Using this method, we measured and analysed the glare of conventional lights. And we got the experimental expression to estimate the disability glare (DAGI).

    The purpose of this paper is to analyze the processes of classification task by means of the application of the information processing models by Gregg and Simon to the stochastic process models. The result was as follows; 1) Subjects adopted consistently the strategy which made them select a hypothesis from the subset of hypotheses that are consistent with the last stimulus pattern presented to them regardless of the number of attribute-dimensions. 2) As the number of dimensions increased, the deviations between observations and predictions of any models tended to be great in spite of the stationarity of the series of responses and the statistical independence of the intermediate responses.

    A gait analyzing system built in the Labor Welfare Projects Corporation Prosthetics Center, Nagoya, Japan, is introduced.
    Stick-picture camera system with rotaing slit-shutter, force-plate system with strain-gauges, foot-print system, data processing system and their control system were built in this system.
    Two interesting results were reported in this paper 1) Using the circular-gait pattern, transient phenomena in walk-motion and the variance of pattern were discussed. As a result, gait simulator-I was designed by using this pattern.
    2) Center of gravity was calculated by the use of foot-prints for standing experimentee with both legs and the error of its position was compared with standard method and other simplified digital methods. The maximum error was within 15mm. So, the locomotion of center of gravity in gait cycle was calculated.

    This paper deals with the dynamic characteristics of Human body, that is, Human response in following step or sinusoidal input added to his body. We did the personality test as follows; (1) Transform the testee on the floor. (2) Shake the testee right-and-left or back-and-before. (3) Vibrate the testee up-and-down. (4) Decline the testee with bicycling style. And we measured the pursuit tracking at the near point of gravity of his body or another point. The aim of the tests is to put to use the reaults for no-man control of bicycling with robot. From these experiments, it was found that;
    (1) Balancing response of Human body is approximated to next formulas, that is, second order transfer function.
    (i) G(s)=B/s2+As+B
    (ii) G(s)=B/B/s2+As+B·e-TS
    (iii) G(s)=B/B/s2+As+B·(1-TS)
    (2) When the input freqwncy is lower than about 1.6c/s, the body tracks neary exactly with it, but higher than about 2.4c/s, the phase lag is exceeding.
    (3) Amplitude gain increases with input freqency for up-and-down vibration tests, but for right-and-left or back-and-before tests it degreeses with frequency, examply, about 10 to-40 dB.

    In this paper mechanism of space-discrimination was studied by the trace of eye motion. For this experiment eye-camera was used to the space-miniature model. This model is made up of black dots' pattern by which figural character of space-constitution can be easily represented. The case-study of eye-motion was also tasted by using photographs of streets and building-facade.
