H. M., 48-year-old woman with generalized cutaneous candidiasis which showed the aspect of macro-vesicular-ringworm-like lesions, was reported. These lesions was slightly elevated erythematous patches with a few membranous scaling which the border was sharply demarcated from the peripheral normal skin. Some solid papules lined on the borders, and any vesicle, pustule and erosion were absent on these patches. Many fungous elements were observed in the KOH specimens taken from the above all cutaneous lesions, and affected nails of her hands.
Candida was cultured from these affected skin and nails, and the organism was identified as
Candida albicans by the performed certain examinations.
The patient had had a latent glycosuria. The patient recovered completely after the prolonged treatments of one and half year, which Trichomycin, Nystatin and some topical ointments were used.
