Yamada (1965) isolated an enzyme from the pancreas extracts of pig, dog and rabbit, which showed fungilytic action and identified this enzyme as the adrenalin sensitive lipase of microsome fraction of pancreas cells. A wide range of pH for the lytic action of adrenalin sensitive lipase was seen against
Penicillium, Aspergillus, Trichophyton, Streptomyces and
Mycobacterium but the maximum fungilytic activity was observed in pH 7. The effect of inhabitants and activative reagents were investigated. In the case of
Penicillium, Aspergillus and
Trichophyton, NaF showed apparent inhibition and direct addition of adrenalin activation and on the other hand, insulin and NaCl showed no effects. In the case of
Streptomyces and
Mycobacterium, NaF, NaCl, adrenalin and insulin showed no effects.
