A 4-months-old Japanese black steer with a pulsatile hematoma on the right metatarsus bone was diagnosed as arteriovenous fistura by angiography. The patient showed slight lameness at the affected limb. Auscultation on the hematoma revealed obvious continuous thrill and bruit which is the most characteristic findings of this disease. Around the skin overlying the hematoma, old cicatrization of vulnus by a glass piece at two months of age was observed.
Under the anesthesia, the ligation of metatarsea dorsalis III A, and V. was performed, the hematoma was completely removed, and the casting external fixation was applied. The function of the affected leg was quickly recovered.
