Dr. Junichi Hachisuka is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, School of Psychology and Neuroscience in Scotland. After he graduated from Nagoya University, School of Medicine, he started his career as a dermatologist at Kyushu University in 2002. Then, he was interested in the neural mechanism of itch and began his research in 2005 as a graduate student at Kyushu University. In 2012, he became a postdoc at the University of Pittsburgh, where he developed a new preparation that allows recording the spinal sensory neuron's activity in response to natural stimulation to the skin. Now he has his own lab at the University of Glasgow.
