In the previous report (1), an isolation method of Myc. lepraemurium from subcutaneous tissue of rat infected with rat leprosy bacilli by means of chloroform fractionation, the infectivity of the isolated bacilli, and some other properties, i. e. nitrogen, phosphorus, and amino acid contents in the concentrated bacilli were described. The purpose of this present paper is to report further efforts toward the clarification of other properties of the bacilli which are obtained by the same method as the previous report (1). Furthermore, if any different properties will exist between Myc. lepraemurium and other acid-fast bacilli which can cultivate in vitro, they will suggest some idea of attempt to the pure culture method of Myc. lepraemurium.
