JOURNAL FREE ACCESSIt has been reported that various neurotropi.c viruses such as poliomyelitis virus (1-3), rabies virus(4), GDVII strain of mouse encephalomyelitis virus (5-6), Columbia MM virus (7), Columbia SK virus (8) and Venezuelan equine encephalomyelitis virus (9) have been successfully propagated in tissue culture, however, any systemic study concerning the propagation of the FA strain of mouse encephalomyelitis virus in tissuc culture has not yet been reported. JOURNAL FREE ACCESSIn the previous report (1), an isolation method of Myc. lepraemurium from subcutaneous tissue of rat infected with rat leprosy bacilli by means of chloroform fractionation, the infectivity of the isolated bacilli, and some other properties, i. e. nitrogen, phosphorus, and amino acid contents in the concentrated bacilli were described. The purpose of this present paper is to report further efforts toward the clarification of other properties of the bacilli which are obtained by the same method as the previous report (1). Furthermore, if any different properties will exist between Myc. lepraemurium and other acid-fast bacilli which can cultivate in vitro, they will suggest some idea of attempt to the pure culture method of Myc. lepraemurium.View full abstractDownload PDF (2312K) -

The present paper is dealing with the functional significance of these nerve cells on the motility of gastric muscle strip. JOURNAL FREE ACCESSBy the present case, when the tracheotomy was carried out under the diagnosis of tracheal foreign body on account of cough attack, dyspnea, cyanosis etc. caused by aspiration of caramel, an unticipated obsolete intratracheal foreign body of rubber balloon was found out, and moreover this rare case succeeded fortunately in the extraction of foreign body from the tracheotomic opening without asphyxia. From the reference of the reports on the tracheal foreign body of rubber balloon in our country, we conclude that doctors should accelerate the attention of all people to the danger of rubber balloon.View full abstractDownload PDF (2555K)
