JOURNAL FREE ACCESSIn our previous experiments with some specimens of the blood und saliva, we found that blood types could be determind with the saliva instead of the blood accurately in one hundred percentage. The method und results had been published in the Journal of Bacteriology No. 420.
With this new method we tested blood types of 483 cases of lepers. Type A was found in 50.93%, type B in 9.94%, type A B in 5.59%, und type O in 33.54%. The proportion of blood types of healthy japanese peoples was as follows: Type A 37.51%, type B 20.97%, type AB 9.54% und type O 31.86%. JOURNAL FREE ACCESSDuring the past four years the writer made vasectomy in 40 cases and obtained the following results.
1) Vesectomy was a very simple operation which caused neither danger nor troubles of patients.
2) After the operation no spermatozoon und no lepra bacillus was found in the semen.
3) After the operation the sexual desire was kept unchanged und the general condition was seen very good.
4) No pregnant women were seen by those vasectomized men.
5) Leprous changes were not only made worse by the operation, but there could be seen some cases in which leprous symptoms disappeared entirely.
6) In cases in which one testicle was excised no influences were noticed.
7) A case which suffered from phthisis became well after the operation.
