    Die Frühdiagnose der Lepra ist für die Behandlung der Leprakranken wichti and auch wissenschaftlich, besondcrs auf serologisch-chemischem Gehiete ein sehr interessantes Problem. Die vielen verschiedenen Forschun gen in dieser Hinsicht sind aber noch nicht zufriedenstellen.
    Zahlreiche Arbeiten zeigen, lass das Lepraserurn and die Lipoide miteinander specifisch in Beziehung stehen. In letzter Zeit berichteten Toyama, Kubokawa and seine Mitarheiter über die FÄllungsreaktion mit Lecithin als Antigen. Si brauchten als Antigen eine Mlschung von Lecithin (Sankyo) and Extrakt aus menschlichen Peripherie-Nerven. Ich prÜfte diese Untersuchng nach.
    Die Resultate sind wie f olgt: von 157 Fllen des Lepraserums waren 61 FÄlle positiv (40, 8%); darunter von 109 Seren der tuberÖsen Lepra zeigten 52(47, 7%)FÄlle, von 32 der maculÖsen 5(31, 3%), und von 32 der nervÖsen 7(22%) possitive Reaktion. Diese Zahlen waren kleiner als die bei den Kubokawaschen Resul-taten. Ausserdem reagierten von 26 Syphilitikern 7 FÄlle (27%) positiv und 14 FÄlle des TuberculÖsen-Serum und 91 Gesunden-Serums negativ.

    The authors tested the off ect of "Gold-Organosol (Horiba-Odagiri)" made in the Chemical Institute of Kyoto Imperial Univerity upon 18 cases of lepra (lepra tuberosa 10 cases, lepra nervorum 3 cases and lepra maculosa 5 cases) and drew the following conclusions.
    A curative action coulde be observed in 8 cases (44%) among them, and especially in case of lepra maculosa comparatively distinct. As the lightening of leprous symptoms the reduction or disappearance of leprous nodules and infiltratios, fading of leprous macula, lightening of thickening and pain caused by pressure of peripheral nerves, recovering of paralyses. In 8 cases (44%) the drug had brought no improvement of leprous changes at all. And in 2 cases (11%) the clinical symptoms grew worse in some degree. There was seen some by-effect in 8 cases (44%) and in 5 advanced cases of tuberous type among them it was somewhat remarkable. As the by-effect fever, headche, reddening, swelling, induration and pain in the injected part.
    In the comparison of the curative effect of the drug with that of the gynocard oil, there could be found little difference.
