The drama mainly consists of the dialogues between two or three persons. In the classical drama, however, we can also find the chorus and the soliloquies. Though the popular Elizabethan playwright had no chorus, he could have almost as many characters as he chose. And sometimes 'single one of these might suffice by himself to do much of the work the chorus once performed'. Shakespeare wrote many excellent crowd scenes, which are interpreted by Dr. W. Lohmeyer in his interesting book called "Die Dramaturgie der Massen". We wish to examine the soliloquies and crowd-speeches in Shakespeare's works and try to find out some common feature to those particular forms of expression.

One of the characteristics of modern mass media is noticed by the increasing of visual images used as means of communication. To solve problems contained in such complicated mass art like film or television we need mention many view points from Publizistik to science of art. And also it is necessary to trace the development historically, starting from the middle age's discovery of ways to make exactly repeatable visual communication. We intend here to analyse the communicative forms of film and television comparing with other existent forms, mentioning furthermore the reciprocal actions between such forms and popular taste.

The present answer of the theatrical film to the competition of television is the development of the wide screenprocesses. (Cinerama, Cinema-Scope, VistaVision and Todd A. O. etc.) They open new possibilities which have yet to be explored ; the screen used in projection is extremely large and curved, filling the entire viewing angle of the audience and so renders a remarkable illusion of depth. But, even if wide screen systems are universally accepted, the new techniques and expressions developed with them will not outmode screen techniques as we know it today-the use of opticals, frame-lines, chose-ups, cuts and movements. Preferably, it will simply mean that wide screen will be new additional crafts. Each craft will survive and develop the growth of its medium, and most principles will be used interchangeably.

Heretofore the Baroque art has been viewed from the angle of the style history, in comparison with the Renaissance and Gothic arts. The author of the present paper, however, tries to consider it as an expressionistic art and observes how it may be contributory to the essential elucidation of the religious feeling, especially mysticism, of the age. He also suggests the importance of the naturalistic technique in this case, by taking examples from the Spanish paintings and sculptures.
