JOURNAL FREE ACCESS1. Die Assimilationskraft für Zucker des normal genährten Hundes wird bei einem durch Typhus- oder Dysenterie-Vaccin oder Tetrahydro-β-Naphthylamin erzeugten Fieber regelmässig in gewissem Grade gestört.
2. Die Störung der Zuckerassimilation beim künstlich hervor-gerufenen Fieber tritt bei den mit Eiweiss-Fett-Kost gefütterten Kohlehydratkarenzhunden unverkennbar deutlicher in die Erscheinung als bei kohlehydratreich genährten Tieren.
3. Bei der Durchblutung der Leber mit einer glukosereichen Lösung war die Glykogenbildung beim fiebernden Hunde auffallend kleiner als beim Normaltiere. Es fand sogar in zwei Fällen unter zehn eine Glykogenabnahme statt.

JOURNAL FREE ACCESS1. The surface tension of an amylamine solution is or is not influenced by the addition of a protein, according to the hydrogen ion concentration of the solution.
2. Only at a H-ion concentration of the solution where a protein exists as anion does the presence of the protein influence the surface activity of the amylamine solution. The change of the surface activity is caused by the combination of protein with amylamine and tends to get the same definite value, whether we manipulate with either lower or higher concentration of the amine.
3. The isoelectric point of protamine lies at pI1 11.0.

JOURNAL FREE ACCESSThe amounts of Ca and P eliminated in urine and feces of the scorbutic guinea pigs in our experiment, though seemed to be affected somewhat by the amount of the ingested food, increase generally- in the early period of scurvy, with the tendency to decrease toward the end. Whenever the urinary excretion of Ca decreases, a large amount of calcium is found in the feces. Cacontent in the serum of our scorbutic guinea pigs, just. as Euler, Myrbäck, Edestein and Schmal reported, does not differ from the normal. The amount of P in the serum remains in a majority of cases, almost the same as in the normal, coinciding with what Edestein and Schmal reported. We cannot agree with Euler and Myrbäck in that the amounts of phosphate in the serum of the scorbutic guinea pigs decrease considerably so that the diminution of P in the serum might be taken as a “Quantitatives Kriterium” of scurvy.View full abstractDownload PDF (350K)
