JOURNAL FREE ACCESS1. Es wurde eine für Formaldehyd sehr spezifische und hoch empfindliche kolorimetrische Bestimmungsmethode beschrieben.
2. Der Verlauf der Änderung des freien Formaldehyds während der Umwandlung des Toxins ins Toxoid wurde sowohl direkt kolorimetrisch als auch nach Fällung durch Dimedon oxydimetrisch verfolgt und die Unterschiede der beiden Werte hervorgehoben und diskutiert.

JOURNAL FREE ACCESSGlucosamine adiministered to phlorhizinized rabbits caused them to excrete even more extraglucose than did glucose given as such. The formation of glucose from the aminosugar is therefore beyond doubt. But, as to the mode of conversion, the data furnished no proof either for the desamination hypothesis (Masai and Nakamura) or for Kawabe's assertion.

JOURNAL FREE ACCESSGlucosamine causes hyperglycemia of peripheric nature in rabbits. This aminosugar does not affect the activities of the oxydases which participate in the oxydation of final products of carbohydrat_??_ metabolism. Most likely the hyperglycemia is due to the accumulation of glucose, either derived from the administered glucosamine or produced from the cleavage product or products of this aminosugar.

JOURNAL FREE ACCESS1. The so-called acid-precipitable and water-soluble urine mucoids of Mörner were demonstrated to be identical with each other. The writer names the mucoid, in this sense, “urinomucoid” to distinguish it from the fractions of Mörner.
2. Urinomucoid contains an acetylglucosamine-galactose (1:1) complex as the prosthetic group.
