Several types of stereofluoroscope have ever been devised, which are mostly composed of left and right roentgen tubes alternately excited, a fluorescent screen and a rotating shutter synchronised ot the tubes. However, none of them can easily produce an ideal stereoscopic image of internal organs of human body, for image produced on the screen is so dark that we cannot get an adequate stereoscopic sense. Therefore, instead of the usual fluorescent screen, we have adopted an image intensifier tube which can remarkably increase the image brightness, and attached to it, an optical system consisting of a reflex came a, a beam splitter, a rotary sector and a binocalar arranged in order.

Various kinds of axial roentgenography of the sacroiliac articulation known as far are still inadequate in order to measure sacroiliac space. Patients were so settled in sitting position that their backs kept 50 degrees to the leaning stand, with their hades backward and their abdomen forward, in order to keep the films vertical to the sacroiliac articulation axis, to which direction X-rays were projected. The roentgenography with this projection not only satisfied the aim of measurement but also made clear feature of the sacroiliac axis and was considered to be of diagnostic value.

The moving irradiations, which aim to reduce the dose burden on the unit surface of the irrdiated skin and to convert the ray-bundle to the lesion, are devided according to the dose-distribution into three, namely, rotating, pendular and convergent method. The dose-distribution under the skin surface in these method is so complicated that the theoretical values very often fail to accord with actual ones. This is mainly due to the fact that the scattering rays, which are not very important in the static irradiations, are accumulated in the moving irradiations and have much to do with accumulated in the moving irradiations and have much to do with dose-distribution and that it is difficult to apply a certain mathmatical formula in order to get the accumulated doses. A beewax-phantom of the waist of a normal woman was made and the measurements were repeated to get as near doses to the actral value as possible using the excentric pendular rotating method.

The characteristics of the γ-value and sensitivity of 3 kinds of films, EK (Blue Brand) (Oct., 1960), Fuji PX (Oct., 1960) and Sakura New Y (Apr., 1960) were studied using Al-wedge phantom method and changing the X-ray-Intensity namely, kVp, mAs and FPD under low voltage (40-90kVp). In order to investigate the characteristics of films, irradiations and development should be carried out at the same time using the same materials and under the same conditions. The characteristic curves of x-rays according to the intensity were made and analizied photographing technics were reported.

Inspite of the many studies carried out and reported so far by many doctors on scattering X-rays observed in taking chest films, no anonimous conclusion about the scattering ratio of X-ray etc. have yet been obtained. Especially when the scattering ratio of X-rays is measured using the film-blackening method, the results differ according to the used photo-sensitive material. Using the most common materials at present, the author studied chest problems, namely the scattering X-rays in different tube voltages, Al. filters with different thickness, different F.P.D. and projected fields with different width. General consideration of these separately obtained experimental results was also added in this report.
