    (1)この調合理論は, コンクリートの構成材料に帰属する要因が, コンクリート諸性質に及ぼす影響を調べようとする研究から発展した。構成材料に帰する要因は量的なものと質的なものに分けて取扱うことができる。量的要因はコンクリート調合と同じものである。(2)調合理論とは, コンクリートに与えられる条件を満足するように, 量的要因の値を決定するための理論であるということができる。(3)コンクリートの諸性質と量的要因の関係を数式で表わし, それを用いてコンクリートに与えられた条件を示しうるものをもって条件式とする。(4)また調合理論に目的関数の概念を導入することによって, ある目的のために最適な解を求めることができ, 更に解法に関する制限が緩和されて, 実際的な解法理論を完成することができる。(5)この研究では独立な量的要因に, 単位水量W, 単位セメント量C, 単位粗骨材量Gおよび混入空気量Aの4つを採用した。いずれも単位は絶対容積百分率(%vol)である。(6)この研究では, 実験結果に回帰分析の手法を適用して, 条件式を誘導した。

    Many investigations on the strength of reinforced concrete members subjected to bending moment have been reported, and it is now possible to predict their strength with saticefactory accuracy. However, little is known and relatively small amount of research has been done regarding their capacity for deformation, especially when they are subjected to bending and shearing simultaneously. In this investigation, twelve one-way slabs with stubs subjected to center concentrated lording were tested. The principal variadles were the width of stub including zero, the surface deformation of reinforcement and the bond condition in the stub. Then, the influence of beeing stub to the deflection of the specimens were discussed in concidering of bond characteristics between reinforcement and concrete.

    Fourteen tests of H-columns under tri-axial moment and constant axial load were carried out to investigate the general inelastic behavior of corner H-columus. especially to know effects of torsion. and to prove the adequacy of the analysis in the previous report (Part 1). The section of specimens was H-125×125×6.5×9. There were three kinds of the slenderness ratios about the strong axis : 20.40 and 60. and axial load ratio P/Py has three kinds : 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6, The effect of torgue was found to be most pronounced at the slenderness ratio of 40. and considerable decrease in flexural strength was found. Following are the factons that influence the flexural strength of such memders. (1) Magnitude of Shear force due to St. Venauts' torsion. (2) Magnitude of torsional component due to axial force. (3) Magnitude of flexural-torsional component. (4) Magniude of torsional deflection. It was shown dy both the tests and the analysis that the effect of (1) was predominant among all the above factors, and the effect of (4) was small but favorable.

    The behavior of steel tall building frames under constant vertical loads and alternating horizontal force was studied experimentally, using knee type subassemblages which were fundamental element of inner portion of multi-bay multi-story frames. Test frames were made by welding beams and columns of mild steel rolled wide flange sections. It is observed that the shape of horizontal force-displacement curves greatly depend on the magnitude of the vertical loads and the type of frame collapse mechanism. In the case that the vertical loads are o or small and the column sections do not yield at first, the hysteresis loop of frame behavior do not become unstable and get to steady state with the repetition of horizontal loading. However, in the case that the vertical loads are large and first yield occurs at column sections, the hysteresis loop become unstable but the restoring force of frames increases with the repetition of horizontal loading. The final horizontal restoring force nearly corresponds to the strength calculated on the assumption that the resisting moment of column section converges to the full plastic moment of section with no axial force. Experimental hysteretic behavior is fairly well predicted by elastic-plastic analysis based on the two assumed bending moment-curvature relations. An apporoximate, yet simple analytical method of hystereticl behavior of subassemblages is also proposed in this paper.

    Structural characteristics of K-braced frames were studied, with emphasis put on the variation of frame characteristics caused by the eccentric brace-to-beam connections (see Fig. 2.1.). The tests and analysis were conducted with particular attention ascertain wherther the yielding due to shear of the beam web subject to eccentric reaction from the braces would be such that the frame as a whole could have a stable characteristics, maintaining sufficient brace stability. (For the test and analysis procedures, see the Japanese text.) The test and analysis results may be summarized as follows : (1) Comparison between the test results and the theoretical results The test results and theoretical results by analysis were generally in fair agreement. (2) Hysteresis characteristics By selecting the eccentricity properly, the abrupt decrease of frame strength due to the buckling of braces can be avoided because the yield due to shear of the beam to which braces are eccentrically connected will prevent such buckling. (3) Strength and stiffness frame By providing the eccentricity appropriately, frame stiffness can be controlled without pronouced change in frame strength. (4) Effects of eccentricity of web of beam Although the web enters the plastic range at the initial stage of loading, its histeresis loop recorded under iteration of positive and negative loadings was fairly stabilized.

    The study in the ambient wind conditions at the base of tall buildings has started rather recently, and not been advanced enough to be able to fully meet the problems posed by the society, because of research data, both at home and abroad. For this purpose, it is neccesary to nake observation or measurement on the respective and analyse the data thus obtained both in the theoretical and the statiscal ways. The objective of this paper is to review the observations on Keio Plaza Hotel Building (170m high) and Hotel Pacific Building (170m) in the strong wind and recommend the tentative criteria for the proposed buildings situations by use of these data as well as the smoke tunnel test.

    I researched verious sources to determine the original plan of Hakozaki-Hachiman shrine. The architural feature of the shrine consists of nine special spans.     The construction of Meiji Kyuden (the Imperial Palace) was commenced in 1883 and completed in 1888. The Bureau of the Imperial Palace Construction was the largest system of constructions in Meiji Era which was set up in 1882 and employed many engineers. These engineers were constituted writh the engineers of the Department of Public Works and the Imperial Household Agency and the other office. This paper describes on the change of the organigaation, the number of engineers, their past record, their careers in the construction works and considers on the significance which the Imperial Palace Construction had in the process of the development of Meiji Era's architectures.
