    曲面式として,z=c_1x^2+c_2y^2で表わされる推動シエルのフーリェ級数による解法はBauma,Kristoffer-Apelandにより解析されているが,単級数のため,相対する二支持端の境界条件は一義的に決定されてしまい,周辺固定支持のフーリェ級数による解はいまだ例を見ない。従ってこの理論を拡張し複級数を用い周辺固定支持の場合の解析を試みた。本論文では特に曲面式がF=k/2(x^2-y^2)とおけるH.Pシエルに対し,ウラソフ型の微分方程式を解き,例題として正方形プランを取り上げ変形,曲げモーメント,および軸力を級数解でn,m=1,3,5,7の複級の係数を求め,差分法による解(格子間隔スパンの1/8)と比較を行なったものである。

    Remarkable and vigorous progress has been made in recent years in theoretical studies on aseismatic structural engineering, especially studies on response analysis of structure under seismic loading. On the other hand, experimental studies on dynamic failure of materials or members of structure has just started, and it seems to be lagging behind the former. The reason has been simpley that we were not able to possess a suitable dynamic loading machine to test the structural members. While our study regarding automatic load control for making the most suitable dynamic loading machine to test structural members continues, we wish to summarize the results of our studies achieved so far. It is desirable that the testing machine should be able to give irregular waves of load to test the structural members under seismic load. To satisfy this condition, a testing machine driven by electrohydraulic servo mechanism is perhaps the most suitable. This type of testing machine, which has an electrohydraulic servo valve, utilizes an automatic load control system, whereby the machine regenerates irregular waves of load for any desired load programme, when electric signals are given. But to test the structural members, several dozen tons of load capacity and about 10 cycles/sec of loading rate are necessary. Ordinary servo valves are far insufficient in out-flow-rate to meet these requirements. In this study, to increase the out-flow rate of the system, we adopted a sort of 2 stage hydraulic system whose first stage is operated by an ordinary servo valve, and suceeded in incressing its out-flow rate 10 times or more. Moreover, we deviced an apparatus of high-performance ability and highspeed loading rate by means of arranging several large accumulators in series. This report (original) describes also the progress of projecting the machine system, determination of proportioning, explanations of various elements of machine and the results of some tests conducted after the machine had been completed.

    (1) We found that the acculately compated pannel's shear deformation and yield point by stress function and those by simplified Equation (20) are almost the same. Both of them coinside with the test results well. (2) When the amplitude of the reciprocal load over yield load is increased, the rigidity of the pannel decrease. As it is very complicated and diffecult to apply this reduction of pannel rigidity to the connection behavior, it is desirable to keep the pannel zone within elastic zone. (3) Even if the panuel zone remains in the elastic zone, the horizontal deflection of the rahmen construction due to the pannel shear deflection is considerably large. Because, in the case of high rise buildings of which construction design is restricted by the horizontal deflection, this additional deflection can not be ignored.

    1. In order to calculate natural ventilation of roof monitor equied with the block of factorys which is caused by wind, we made wind tunnel experiment using the model of the block of 5 factorys which have J type roof monitor (see fig. 2), and obtained its ventilating property in natural wind. 2. Calculation of ventilating volume of roof monitor is followed the same equation in report 1. 3. This experimental study is made using about 1/400 model of factory, and indicated monitors value of pressure loss coefficent ζ_<m0*gt; and wind pressure coefficient C_<m0> when wind direction θ changed. These result is indicated Fig. 5〜8.

    Many smaller villages were incorporated with the bigger villages and towns in FUKUOKA prefecture from 1953 to 1960. We selected 42 towns and villages as the object of this study. The purpose of this study is to judge whether it is proper or not, to concentrate the facilities in the same place for getting the uniformity of towns and villages. We investigated the space ranges and the population scale of the towns and villages by the following factors. 1, The location sites of public offices, their branches and the middle schools. 2, The number of these institution facilities. 3, The distance between facilies and localities. The public offies of towns and villages at plains are almost located in the centre of an area, but at mountains and foot of mountains almost located in the edge of anarea. The localities where the public offices are located are thickly populated and have a large population. The cases where the middle schools are located close to the public offices and their branches came up to 82 percents. When the towns and villages were incorporated, the public offices had 95 miniserial branches but now the number of branches has decressed by about 60 percents, and a half of towns and villages has avolished the branches of their poblic offices. On the other hand, after the towns and villages were incorporated, some middle schools were amalgamated in one. The office authorities believe that they can cut expenses as much, and get the unity of the inhabitants by the reduction of the facilities. But we criticise the policy of the office authorities that reduces the facilities by unduely consideration on the spacial character of place and the distribution of the localities. After incorporated with the bigger villages and towns, the newly established public offices strengthened their mechanism of the centralization of administrative power.

    In such facilities as office buildings and factories where the number of customers is restricted, it is necessary for determining the size of the canteen, to estimate the number of customers who arrive at a time in the lunch time period. Investigations of congestions in these facilities are made and the tendencies of arrival distributions are surveyed. Several differences are observed in congestion at initial period in the case of between office building and factories. Some special consideration may be necessary on these queueing which deal with congestion dependent of a certain time (i.e. noon). a. Approximate solutions of L_q are studied, assuming M/E_K/S(0) to be M/M/1(∞), by means of the transient non-equilibrium theory. b. A method of determining the number of items in the system is studied assuming that the arrivals of customers are normally distributed with maximum arrival at the noon.

    Following the previous paper this paper deals with T. MORIYAMA's and I. NAKAMURA's careers. They were the persons on the part of the KAITAKUSHI in charge of the construction of the Sale and Reception Room of the KAITAKUSHI. T. MORIYAMA (1842-1920) was the clansman of Saga, and I. NAKAMURA (1835-89?) was a carpenter in the last years of the Edo. Both the architects were employed by the KAITAKUSHI in 5th of the Meiji Era, then designed various occidental style buildings of the KAITAKUSHI and supervised these constructions. From 11th to 14th of the Meiji they were appointed as the constructing foremen of the Sale and Reception Room (designed by J. Conder). And through their performances for this construction they engaged as the engineering executives of Kokyozoeijimukyoku (imperial palace construction bureau, estab. in 1812).

    This report is the result of the research on the ten old private houses in Tokamachi-shi in their restorated original form which are arranged in the chronological order. In one part of the districts along the coast of the Japan Sea, the private houses called "Chu-mon-zukuri" are distributed. This report states how those "Chumon-zukuri" houses had developed in Tokamachi from the beginning of the 18th century through the later years of the 19th century.
