    This time l used 3 meters H-typed steel column for this test, and measured the lateral pressure on the concrete, when l poured concrete uing such various aggregate as foamed concrete, expanded shale and volcanic grauel and compaired with them each others, and had the following results. i) When the foamed concrete poured, with during the work, the hight of the head is not clear, and it is almost same the pouring of the liquid, and it decided by the high and weight of the concrete. ii) In the case of the lightweight concrete, it should be decided by the slumps of the concrete, as the example, the slump is about 21cm, it accoured on the 1 meter high of the head, and it is about 24cm, it acco ured on the head of 1.5m to 2.0m. In general the maximum pressure of concrete on forms decreased in accordance with the weight of the using concrete. iii) When the thickness of the concrete reached to 5cm, to 29cm the pressure of Concrete on forms is almost same in foamed concrete, but the head of lightweight by using aggregate hed rise up by the thickness of the concrete.

    This report presents the elasto-plastic analysis of of stress or strain distribution in steel section. subjected to alternative load (axial force and bending morment). This theory based on the following assumptions 1) Assuming thal steel is perfectly elasto-plastic solid, and the Bauschinger effect, strain-hardening are ignored. 2) After deformation, the cross section remained plane. The method of this analysis are following 1) When the axial force and bending morment increased to P_O, M_O, and then decrease to P, M. Now the unloading load (P_N, M_N) are M_N=M_O-M P_N=P_O-P 2) The elastic region of unloading load (P_N, M_N) are determined geometricaly, using stress distribution of initial load (P_O, M_O). 3) As the strain distribution of the unloading load (P_N, M_N) is linear, the stress distribution is linear too, in theelastic region of unloading load. Then we get the stress distribution of the unloading load, using equilibrium of load and stress. And then strain distribution of bending curvature are determined. 4) We can get the stress distribution of any unloading state by superpasing the result of 3) on the initial distribution. Strain distribution, Bending courvature are also like so on.

    Analytic method of the conical shells unclosed in circumferential direction, is similar to the one of the cylindrical shells, but is more complicated. This paper shows the simplified analytic method of unclosed "conical shells by using the stress function φ. In this method the stresses and the displacements are developed into Fourier series in circumferential direction, so it is applicable in the conical shell simply supported at the longitudinal boundary. An example has been calculated by this method and at the end of this paper the results are shown, compared to the one by the more precise method by W. Flugge. It is found that there are no remarkable deviation between the corresponding distribution curves of stresses and displacements by the above two methods.

    This paper is concerned with the stability of a simpl supported cylindrical shells under axial moment and under eccentrically compression. This problem may be solved by the following total potential energy method : In the discussion of earlier paper (T.A.I.J. No.105, 112) it was set [numerical formula], where y and ⊿II are given measure of additional displacement and additional total potential energy, II is the sum of the potential energy of deformation and the potential energy corresponding to the work done by the load. Then by using Eq. (11) or (20), we obtain for calculating critical stresses under axial moment or under eccentrically compression the following Eq. (13) or (22). If the ratio h/r is given, i.e., if k is knoun, we can, by using expression (16) and choosing a value for m representing the number of lobes of the buckled shell, obtain a curve representing the relation between λ and φ. Several curves of this kind are shown in Fig. 4.

    Assuming the relation between the settlement and the skin friction of an elastic pile in homogeneous clay, the process of loading, unloading and reloading is studied theoretically. The behaviors of the settlements, the elastic recovery of tne settlements and the residual settlements at the top and the point of the pile are shown, related to the distributions of the skin friction, i.e., elastic, elastic-plastic and plastic distributions. The distributions of the skin friction, the axial compressive strain and the settlement along the pile when the pile is loaded and unloaded are shown. When the pile is unloaded, the residual skin frictions act downward at the upper part of the pile and upward at the lower part, being in equilibrium as a whole. Accordingly, the residual axial force and the residual compression of the pile shaft exist. Furthermore, considering the rigidity of the point resistance, the settlement behaviors of the friction pile and bearing pile are compared. The larger is the rigidity of the point resistance, the steeper are the gradient to the settlement axis of the load-settlement curve and that of the load-residual settlement curve, and the less is the change of the gradients of them.

    There are 3 basic elemens in the system designed and built : a vibration table with a pilot valve servo-motor, a hydaulic power unit, and a electronic control unit. Input signal which is generated by an oscillator or a data-recorder is combined with the feed-back signal from the vibration table, and is supplied to the torque-motor coil driving the spool of the servo-valve. Theoretical calculations are made to determine the dynamic characteristics of the pilot valve servo-motor and the closed loop frequency responses of the system. Experimental studies are made in two cases : the closed loop frequency response test, and optional tape input test of the system. (a ground motion of an earthquake is recorded in the tape.) The results are summarized as follows : (1) The wave form of the vibration table is good. (2) Availabe optional inputs include random noise, tape recorded ground motion of an earthquake, etc. (3) Large forces can be provided relatively easily. (4) Combinations of servo-motors can be progammed to provide vibrating motion in any combination of 6 components of motion.

    The study focused on the minor block of city, area of which enclosed by streets of 4m width upto 10m. Topography function, scale, proportion are mutually related to decide the size of the block, so that first effort has been made to classify the grade of the size of block. We have disclibed also the relationship between the size of block and the size of city which are translatea by the series of number showing the potentiality strength of city.

    As one of the investigations on maintenance and integrity of the government office buildings, I investigated circumstances of those works mentioned above by the throughgoing observation at the actual places and by the record of those works concerned a certain government office building extending over nine years. There are some different kind of rooms and other places such as the traffic places, the ordinary rooms and the special rooms in the government office building, and the scale of both consumptive loss and repair of each place is quite different due to the difference of its natural and human works circumstances.
