Fifty patients with Menière's syndrome were studied. The therapeutic data using sedatives, inorganic agents, autonomotrophic agents, vasodilatators, drugs effective for eliminating edema, anti-allergic agents, vitamins, hormones and ATP in combination with the types, stage and symptoms of this condition were reviewed to reveal the following results.
1) In the therapy of Menière's syndrome, one should lay stress upon the clinical type of the disease rather than the respective symptoms.
2) Anti-allergic agents and vasodilatators proved effective for the mild type, inorganic agents and anti-allergic agents were effective for type I, drugs eliminating edema and ATP responded to type II, and ATP and autonomotrophic agents proved effective for type III.
