JOURNAL FREE ACCESSAfter several investigations into the various causes of injuries effected by noise in the airplane on the mechanical and phisical point of view, we have noted that among the aerial sound, noises in the airplaine is decreasing by appearance of plain with pressure cabin and jet plane. And now we must notice on the correspondence soudd and its backnoise.
We studied also the way of physical examination of air-crew. As one of this, it is proper, we think, that we take pure-tone-audiometry mainly and speech-audiometry supplementally at the entrance examination, and speech-audiometry at the terminal test.
As to the improvement of correspondence-machine, measures from a side of engineering is desired hereafter. And also it is suitable for pilot to use the ear-defender with receiver.
As apersonal care, we think tinittus is a symptom of injuries for long duration, and so if a pilot is conscious of tinittus, it is necssary to give him a rest.View full abstractDownload PDF (1879K) -

JOURNAL FREE ACCESSA trial of anew anesthetic agent, Eunal, for intravenous use in children was described.
This agent was administered intravenously for children ranging in age from 4 to 14 for the purpose of securing general anesthesia under which the following procedu-res were carried out smal operation for out-patient, some sorts of examination accompained by pain, bronchography and intubation. As to the dose, 7.0mg per kg, 100 to 250mg in total, was injected within 30 to 40 seconds for out-patients with satisfactory results, while 8.0mg per kg, 250 to 500 in total, was used within 10 to 14 seconds for the patients admitted.
In conclusion, this agent, Eunal, was simple and safety to administer and seemed superior to any other agents for interavenous administration in children.View full abstractDownload PDF (1146K) -

JOURNAL FREE ACCESSA clinical study was made on 88 maxillary antrums of 45 cases with respect to the findings of mucous membrane functional test (refered to as “ M. F. T.” hereafter) before and immediately after the irrigation of the antrum, and the following conclusions were obtained.
1) It should be avoided to examine M.F.T. of the case immediately after irrigation, because the process was seemed to affect considerably the correctness of the judgement of type in radio grams.
2) Irrespective of the drug used for irrigation, the more pathological the ciliary function of the antrummucosa was, the less affected the results of M. F. T. were, and vice versa.View full abstractDownload PDF (2447K) -
