The corrosion resistance of alminium, duralmin, zinc and tin were studied for 1000, 1500 and 2000 times dilute aqueous solution of niccarine T, and 500, 800 and 1000 times dilute aqueous solution of nicotine sulphate, respectively.
In the case of aluminium, the relation between the time of corrosion and the amount of loss is not clear at respective solutions. The loss of duralmin in niccarine solution shows slight increase at long time etching, but in case of lame dilution of nicotine sulphate solution the weight of sample is increase at long etching time.
The loss of zinc in niccarine solution is almost linearly increase with etching time and the loss is large to little dilution. Numerously minute cavities was produced at the surface of sample followed by minute bubbles. In the case of nicotine sulphate solution, the behavior is the same as above.
The loss of tin in niccarine solution is linearly increase at small dilution of etchant but the amount is little. In the case of the nicotine sulphate solution was used as an etchant the behavior of tin can not recognized crearly at an extent of experimental times.
