    Laws and rules are enacted after the fact because they are designed to prevent problems from recurring. In contrast, science is an activity aimed at acquiring and providing new knowledge and conveniences. With new knowledge and convenience comes new problems, and scientists and engineers have the responsibility to deal with them. In order to do so, it is necessary to acquire what Kohlberg calls a post-conventional level of ethical awareness and an aspirational ethics. By developing this awareness, scientists and engineers can contribute to the safety, security, health, and well-being of society, which everyone values, and can achieve well-being.

    This paper underscores the imperative for collaborative efforts facilitating a seamless transition from Kosen to Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) in English education. The study explores the robust interconnection between Kosen and NUT and delineates educational challenges in the English curriculum at Kosen for post-graduation students. These challenges involve diminishing class hours and the lack of mandatory fifth-year classes. At NUT, transfer students from Kosen face proficiency issues hindering progress in engineering research. Time constraints from the third-year transfer exacerbate these challenges. The paper introduces initiatives like pre-transfer English education, teaching material development, information exchange, and post-transfer remedial education to address these issues. Discussion encompasses outcomes, challenges, and future directions, emphasizing sustained collaboration for effective English education and smooth transitions.

    A PBL-type experiment “Group Scientific Experiment” is a student experiment which is working on from 2008 in the third graders at the Department of Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology, National Institute of Technology (KOSEN), Niihama College. The experiment is a part of an initiative to cultivate creativity by utilization of active learning in a competition of the work produced for a theme. In this experiment, more practical entrepreneur education for the contribution by engineering solution of the problem in society was taken in and the new engineering education for practical implementation was tried. The graduates who have experience starting a business for the education was invited to the lecturer, and a concept, a view, mental attitude, etc. were introduced. Furthermore, the experiment is new initiatives made to cooperate in the start-up program of National Institute of Technology.
