This paper describem measurement of the electric field strength generated by the ARSR station, which operates at 1.345 MHz, 2 MW (peak power). The maximum value measured was approximately 500 V/m (peak value), and 1 V/m (mean value). These values do not exceed the radiation protection guidelines in Japan, although they do indicate a strong likelihood of various electronic equipment inoperability.

The two input impedance method for measureing complex permittivity and permeability of. VHF ferrite absorbers is disscussed. The estimate of measurement error and air gap Length of the sample is computed. The results of experimental points have been plotted in several gragh for comparison with the theoretical curve.

Recently, high-performance heat-reflective glass has come into wide use as a curtain wall construction material because it has a vivid look and substantially reduces the interior cooling and heating load. The suface of this type of glass has a thin metallic coatings which is manufactured using the sputtering method. Therefore, there is possibility of TV ghost Interference caused by the reflection characterristics of this type of glass. In the study, We have developed a new type of high-performance heatrefleotive glass which has the non-reflection characteristics to TV radio wave as well as normal type of glass(float glass). This paper reports the development results of this new type of glass which has the non-reflection characteriatics to TV radio wave without spolling a vivid look and reducing the interior cooling, heating load.

In order to verify an approach for evaluating total electromagnetic noise radiated from a printed circuit board (PCB), results of experimental investigation are given. It is concluded that the total radiated power is represented by a simple sum of radiation from each signal trace or loop on a PCB without any interference to be taken into account. Each trace or loop is considered as an elemental source. Experimental PCBs, which are two-layer PCBs mounting a few high-speed CMOS(HC)ICs on them, were prepared and electromagnetic radiation power from them was measured, No significant interference was found between the noises from separate signal traces because each of the noises is impulsive and rarely overlaps each other in the time domain.

Immunity testing wethode for ESD to telecommunication equipment is under studying on the EMC standardizstion facilities i.e. CISPR or CCITT. This ESD testing methode is based on the new draft recommendation of IEC 801-2. But there are not cleared many problems to adapt IEC 801 methode to test telecommunication equipment. especially to table top equipment. This report describes influences for immunity characteristics of ESD testing to table top equipment that it's print clrcuit boards are mounted in different directions. In using IEC 801-2 testing methode. electromagnetic near field distribution radiated from coupling planes are measured. and this field distribution gives immunity characteristics when the print circuit boards of table top equipment are mounted in horizontal or verical directions. Consequently, several ESD teating condition required for table top equipment are cleared.

Main disturbance for electronic devices is the burst noise that is induced in the power supplied lines at the time of the induotance circuits opened. There are many papers about them, but no their generation mechanism. Then, I will disouss their generation mechanism, suppression technique, and complexed noises.

IEC publish 801-4 electrical fast transient/burst requirements which regulate the equipment to generate the burst noise. It's noise is apparently similar to the burst noise from imductance circuit, but their action are quite different from each other, It is necessary more study to make the fast transient/burst generator.
