Nowadays VCR(video camera recorder) has been spread over the market. And today VCR manufacturers are required to add new functions or special features. We introduced new concept VCR "Simple Hi8 FS-1"into the market in April 1993. This concept is getting acceptance and popularity. Now we developed "FH30ST" as the highest grade VCR in our "Daikoubou"series. This camera has 2 special features; (1) ×18 optical zoom lens(and can be used as maximum × 72 with × 4 digital zoom). and (2)can convert color negative film image into beautiful positive image.
High resolution image stabilizing system for video movie cameras has been developed. This system has three features as follows: (1 ) Adoption of the new CCD with 580,000 pixels. (2) Development of the new image stabilizing algorithm suitable for the new CCD. (3) Realization of low cost system without an increase in size of field memory in spite of the large number of CCD's pixels,
A video camera which is able to extract a target object within the video image shot in real time has been developed. The object extraction method employed for the camera is multi-channel threshoulding on a color plain and the sequential growing algorithm exploiting interfield correlation of a video image. An LSI chip has been also developed to carry out this process and build the prototype video camera, which has successfully realized new functions such as target tracking, color transform, and background fade.
We have developed a software simulation system' It was developed for designing digital signal processing IC of video movie camera and it can simulate behavior model and RTL model. It includes frame memory unit, EWS and TV monitor' Frame memory unit is used for storing data of CCD imager's signal. Software simulation of camera signal process is executed on EWS and we can estimate simulation result using TV monitor' Also this system includes tools for estimating function of circuit. Using this system, we have developed a digital signal processing IC in a short term without making prototype set.
